Really surprised he’s going to you guys. He suits your system don’t get me wrong but he won’t be guaranteed a starting spot with Carline in the picture. Guessing you must be paying him a fair whack to make it worth his while.

Very good going forwards, got an eye for goal, can whip in some great crosses and not a bad weak foot. However, his discipline and defensive duties lets him down at times.

Looks like our ‘keeper Sam Slocombe is talking to his old club Scunny. Managed by Neil Cox as well who was Ardley’s assistant here.

We’ve offered him a new deal and on balance I’d rather keep him. Good player who’s been very consistent for us over two seasons. At 33 there’s no resale value and he doesn’t really fit our model though, so don’t think we’d be devastated if he moved on.
