See there’s a random rumour page claiming Hyde is set to join Southend within the next 72 hours.

Same rumour page reckons we are signing Alex Reid on loan from Stockport. I can only assume that is utter bollocks?
I'd imagine the Reid rumours are nonsense. Although you never know with us these days!

Rumours at our end that we're after Sam Ashford from Crawley and Josh Rees from the Shots.

Don't know anything about Asford but think he was on loan at Woking last season?

Rees was a decent player when we had him on loan 5 years ago and I seem to remember positive posts on here from the Shots fans.

Also heard that Solihull have offered a double your money contract to Jake Andrews but not sure that's from the most reliable source.

Notts left back Jordan Barnett rumoured to be signing for us. Seems like he played a fair bit under Ardley but fell out of favour under Burchnall.
He wasn't the best at defending but not bad going forward. As mentioned Miller came in at LWB and he never got near the side again.

Fair play if you sign Rees, he absolutely carried us at times this season, think he ended top scorer (from centre midfield) So would be a real coup if anyone signed him in this division.
I really hoped we’d go all out to re-sign him but suspect he’ll be off.

Was hoping we’d sign him tbf. From Southend I know a few of his mates also and he’d jump at the chance to sign. Shame we only sign 30+ year olds

Danilo Orsi has joined Harrogate Town. Appears they are well and truly the new $alford.

Has Phil Brown watched any football since 2016?
His m.o all over, just take a look back at his last stint with us where he'd clearly only been watching the top two divisions but 5 years before he rocked up.
Could be one incoming to buck the trend though, new goalkeeper. Phil says he's in talks with 3, two of which would be loans from premier league clubs.
Only issue I've got with that is that we already have a perfectly capable young goalkeeper in Seaden, I'd rather see him play than a 19 year old from the depths of Spurs youth team.

Torquay fans…A few rumours on Exeweb that we’re signing Kyle Cameron. Any good?

We’ve made our first signing, just waiting for it to be announced. All assumed it’s Calvin Miller, but Cal Roberts just tweeted…

‘You gonna announce this big Geordie CB or what lads? @official_ncfc’

So now god knows.

He is but he's gone to Notts. Think he was always likely to go back up north to be honest.

Exeter might be interested in a young talented goalkeeper by the name of Shaun MacDonald, apparently keen on a move up north, too.

Looks like our local journo and manager has just started following Ben Whitfield on Twitter.

don’t really like reading much into stuff like that though…

Taking out our anger on Torquay by just raiding them.

This one would be a surprise though, we’re hardly short of players in his position.

That Evans is the one you want from Torquay, one of if not the best player I saw last season at this level.

The first player in living memory we actually paid a fee for last summer from Brizzle City. One of only two players still under contract at Plainmoor so I'd hope we would demand a decent chunk of money for him. Seems settled down here though, he's signed for us four times (3 different loan spells before we bought him) so I think it's fair to say he likes it here.

It's was rumoured at our end a few days ago that you were after both Cameron and Whitfield. Both decent players but certainly not irreplaceable as evidenced by the fact that we finished second with both of them injured for most of the second half of the season.

Whitfield is a rare player at this level that Burchnall will actually know as well - was coming through Bradford’s youth system at the time IB was coaching there.

Rodrigues, Roberts and Whitfield would be… a fair set of options in the attacking midfield area.

Sadly yes. 75K in 2004 which is still our record transfer. Did bugger all for us then went to Vale and scored a bucket load for them.

Local paper reporting we’re in for Jamie Sterry from Hartlepool.

We appear to be trying to rebuild the Newcastle United youth team from circa 2016.
