Be very surprised (but delighted) if we got Sterry. Will surely have offers from the FL - but then so did Kyle Cameron I spose.

Judging by Cameron and the two players the Post has said we’re in for (Dallas and Sterry), we seem to have recalibrated the model this season from the Dutch second tier and Bulgaria to ‘the better players in our own division’.

I'll probably look stupid now but there's no way Sterry is signing for a NL side.

Bolton are in for him apparently.

Yeah, I can’t see it. We also don’t really need a right wing back, unless Kelly-Evans is off to a league club.

We’ve had a fee agreed for Serhat Tasdemir of Peterborough. Due to discuss personal terms once he’s finished self isolating.

Yeah I would be amazed if he signs for Notts, can see him leaving but it’ll be higher up the food chain as opposed to heading back down.

What’s Connor Lemonheigh-Evans like Torquay fans? Heard we’re interested in him. Steve Cotterill handed him his first professional contract at Bristol City so he must know enough about him. Good enough for League 1?

Very good player, one of the stand outs in the division for me (and I think basically everyone). I think he could make the step up from what I’ve seen.

If he goes as well then Johnson has got some rebuilding job on there.

Yeah he's easily league quality, be a good signing for a mid or lower end L1 side.

Our chairman’s been with us for 25 years now and he’s not getting any younger. After narrowly missing out at Wembley a couple of seasons ago, there’s talk that Roland wants to give this season a good go and is prepared to splash the cash in order to reach the Championship. We should be challenging (Steve Evans, Gillingham manager, has already predicted us to be there or there abouts come next May).

So I’d like to think he can make more of an impact than just be a mid/lower League 1 player, although I do like going for non league gems. A lot of Peterborough’s success is down to this and wouldn’t be against taking this lad (from what I’ve heard anyway).

We’ll see if we get him first, can’t imagine we’d be the only club after him and would command a decent fee.

Spookily, I just saw someone retweet the below, most chances created in the division last season:

Rodrigues’ numbers for us are mad, though. Only started about half the games.

He's a cracking player and yes I'd say he's good enough for League 1. Started off as a box to box midfielder and gradually moved forward to become first a number 10 and then last season regularly played up front. Just behind the front man is his best position though.

Has a tendency to try too much sometimes and holds onto the ball rather than play the simple pass but I'd expect amongst better players you'd see less of this.

Boundless energy as well, he'll run all day. Played every game last season (apart from 1 game out suspended) which with the ridiculous schedule we had down here was some achievement in itself, especially as he gets kicked all over the park most weeks.

He's signed for us 4 times (3 loans before we bought him) so clearly likes it down here, so you'll need to offer him a decent deal to tempt him away.

Views on Boldewijn. Supposedly signing for Tranmere.

Love the guy, but he’s an enigma. Quick, strong, skilful, amazing shot, scores screamers… he should be fantastic but for some reason it only comes together once every few games. We thought he’d dominate this level when we came down but he’s just as inconsistent as he was in League Two.

Seems a really nice bloke and will give his all, though. And a few times a season he will be an absolute joy to watch.

Sounds like a typical Tranmere player.

Yeah he was great every time I saw him - was hoping we’d Chuck money at Torquay and nab him.

In fairness to the lad we had him in league 1 when he was very young so maybe just wasn’t quite ready, but honestly looked nothing like a footballer when he was here.

His goalscoring record is still pants though I’ve noticed
