How has Luke Pilling been for you.

Not played much, but been fine when he’s played in the Trophy and a couple of weeks ago when our first choice ‘keeper got suspended. Not as good as Slocombe with crosses so can’t see him breaking in more regularly, but can’t complain as a reserve.

He played more games for Wales u21s than for us but he will have a decent career eventually.

According to Zimbabwean news outlets, we’ve got former Portsmouth and Man City striker Benjani Mwaruwari’s son, Benjani Mwaruwari jr, on trial after his release from Portsmouth. Great rumour.

I've heard of him which means he must have a decent pedigree because my knowledge of other clubs is shocking.

Stockport flashing the cash around. Have County got a striker problem? I thought the issue was the tactics not the players?

Yes, the goalposts have been moved by some that our side has suddenly gone from being one of the best in the league to dud players letting the new manager down.

We certainly didn't have any issues scoring until we changed to a rigid and archaic 4-4-2, however I won't turn down signing a player like Madden. Gone from having 3 strikers at the club to I think 8 now in a matter of weeks!

Why is he leaving Fleetwood? On paper its a top signing.

How old is he now? Been around a while but was always a very clinical striker in the lower leagues.

Paddy scored a worldie for us at Wembley to get us into the Championship 8 years ago. I'd have him back here in a shot.

Big fee rumoured - if he does come it’s because Fleetwood are snapping our hands of for big money for a 31-year-old.

Fleetwood have been dumping some of their top earners since January.

Evans went to Preston (admittedly part of it was a falling out with Barton), Coutts left for Salford (loan) and now Madden. I think they're trying to cut down costs, squad size and squad age.

Good start for Mark Ellis.

First goal any of our defenders have scored all season! Great start for him, few whispers he was very pissed off about being left out last Tuesday which I don’t mind at all when he comes in and backs it up with a performance.

He certainly seemed pissed off about something in his interview when he shook his head!

A lot at our end reckon this Madden is a done deal.

I imagine it'll be announced in accordance to the time in Japan to ensure full social media exposure over there within the Tokyo Hatters community.

The Japanese need time to get Madden printed on the back of their shirts

Rumour is we're signing goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons of Boston United, formerly of Notts County. Probably be competition for Hinchliffe.

Great shot stopper and quick distributor of the ball, pretty suspect on crosses and has a cock up in him every now and then. Thinks an awful lot of himself as well.

Was funny last season when we loaned him out to Chesterfield, recalled him cos our usual keeper was injured for a game which happened to be against them, he saved a penalty and then we loaned him back out to them a week later or something.

Classic Chesterfield. Bet he had plenty of practice with our pens in training too.

We’ve marched Inih Effiong back to Stevenage, it would appear. Would be no surprise to see Kenton Richardson get the same treatment, and Matty Wolfe appears to be out injured for the rest of the season.

I think that means would leave us back down to five loanees (Knowles, Griffiths, Miller, Ellis and Golden), with potentially the scope to get some help in for poor Kyle Wootton up front as Golden never plays anyway.
