Shaq is a great player when fit but he's rarely fit.

I can't believe you are still bothering with Holmes. The guys had a chronic back problem for over a decade.
We literally had him training all summer to then let Farnborough sign him now we want him back cos we’re shit. It’s just pathetic there’s no plan we are just making it up as we go along. Shambles of a club

PB said Farnborough offered him more money than us! If that doesn't sum up the state of the club right now I don't know what does. Maybe we've decided to match it and Holmes can save on travel. Maybe we're going part time and Holmes will be a dual contract with us and Farnborough.

At the start of the year my Nanna was diagnosed with a terminal illness, watched her die slowly over a period of 3 months. Southend United feels exactly the same, except we've been watching for about 2 and half years and nothing is putting us out of our misery.

We’ve heard that about five times before and they always turned out to be pap. I think the only loan signings of ours in recent years who lived up to the billing were Jack Grealish and Callum McGregor

Appa
Rumours are Hayden Hollis has had a little set back in his return to injury so that’s probably why we’re looking at this lad. General feeling at SWFC seems to be that they think he’s ready to at least challenge for their first XI so on paper looks positive..

Apparently we’re interested in this lad now, after injuries to Rawlinson and Cameron left us down to one fit CB..

Tbf SWFC fans told us Alex Hunt was good and they were 100% correct so it might be worth getting excited about

Sorry to hear about your nanna mate. That’s shit. Went through similar with my mum several years ago so know what you were going through

A mate of mine who's a Wednesday fan rates him really highly, and can't believe he's not playing in the 1st team. I know fans tend to think this a lot about their up and comers, but there it is. May the best team win I guess! We really could do with a CB, currently down 3 as it stands I think?

Aye, Wednesday fans seem to think we’ve signed Maldini. Not sure if that makes me confident about him or not!

It's only Hollis I think. Maguire is in contention for Saturday, not sure who the third would be? We could use a right sided CB as backup for Kerr to stop us playing with 3 lefties at the back if he gets injured.

I know Gunning bust his nose, I didn't know if he'd miss a game or two or not

Tbf they get a bit like that. I remember when we signed Caolon Lavery from them and they were acting like he was the 2nd coming of jesus christ

I hope for Notts sake that jake kean is a better coach than he was a goalkeeper cos he was absolute dogshit for us

Arguably our worse ever Goalkeeper- Xavi Valero is currently Goalkeeping coach at West Ham and has also had the same position at Liverpool, Real Madrid. Inter and Napoli.

I can only imagine he tells them to do the opposite of what he would have done. He was utter dogshit. The only keeper I've ever seen substituted when not injured, at Chesterfield in 2005

Jake Kean was class for us. Very surprised his career never took off.

He was superglued to his line when he played for us, only keeper I can ever remember being worse than him for us was Tommy Forecast.

We all thought he'd go on to be a very good keeper, had everything, good shot stopper, command of area etc. Obviously signing for Grimsby, I can understand how his game got worse

Anthony Patterson, ‘keeper from Sunderland, looks to be joining on loan.

Presumably means Slocombe is injured. Sounds another highly rated one, played four times for their first team already this season, but having to integrate two new, young signings into the back line at the same time isn’t ideal. Good job we don’t do any defending anyway, really.

Feel a bit for Tiernan Brookes who's either good enough or not to be given a go if Slocombes injured

I dunno, feels like he’s been around for ages as a bit of a prospect because everyone always speaks so highly of him, but he’s not long turned 18. That is very, very young for a goalkeeper. Almost unheard of to be playing senior, pro football at that age in that position.

Leaving him at Worksop where he’s, by all accounts, playing really well, seems the best thing for him at this stage.

Still not over Podge and Toto are ya? Losers.
We'll be able to see Podge tomorrow.
See if he,s trying this time(sure he will be), Last time i saw him playing for us.
He was shocking.
And i don,t care what was going on at the club, When you cross that white line
You give your all.

I’ll be honest at the time I was gutted about Podge (couldn’t have cared less about Toto) but I have to admit I took some pleasure from him throwing a tantrum to try and leave you a year into his 2 year contract after stating that the reason he left us was because he wanted a 2 year and we’d only given him 1.
I’ve since read an interview he did about it where i’m now a lot more understanding of his reasons as it was Fenty being a tight twat with him over his new contract that pretty much forced his hand.
