No-one decent then

They’re a very good side and they were clearly on their arse when we won 4-1 away in the autumn.

They’ve a great record at mansfield and they’ll be a tough nut to crack, plus we’ve not won at home on a tuesday since 2014 or something :ffs::lol:

Last time we won at home on a Tuesday Jefferson Louis was only at his 48th club

I think our average away attendance thing might be taking a hit as we all settle into the idea of ‘mid table Notts County’, not something we’ve been for a good few years.

Newport were properly cack in the first game, obviously improved and I can’t ever remember winning there, so very promising all round.

Just biding our time now until the Gambian Pele (visa approved!) takes the stage.
Hes an interesting one this new signing of yours comes from a club your owners are involved with i hear viborg ,hope its not a case of money laundering :tw:

Your suspicions and fears are once again spot mi amigo when it comes to all things Notts. I would be shocked if it wasn't money laundering . The owners are using NCFC as a cash cow :ffs:

You've got me thinking about white rabbits now.
I'm not the superstitious type but can remember my Nan telling me that if you say "white rabbits" on the first day of the month, before you say anything else, it will bring you luck for the rest of the month...now, I'm not saying whether I remember to do it every month, or whether I ever benefit from doing so, but it seemed to bring my Nan luck as she lived to a ripe old age of 88.

Ah, my first foray into ahem ‘smoking’. We all used Jefferson Airplanes so not to waste a bit of it!

Rovers v Shrimps. Need something out of this as Stockport will likely take all the points at the weekend and we've just not quite done enough to secure L2 football yet. Ged Brannan should get a good reception, comes across well in the pre-match interview, though hadn't realised he was Robbie Apter's godfather.

Silly money, silly home gate receipts. Although I have no idea what the transfer fee actually is?!

I'm certainly hoping he isn't a useless lump seen plenty of those at Meadow Lane over the years, but surprisingly and thankfully, not for a while. He's definitely something different and likely needed.

Let me know how he gets on.

Maybe tell your fingers that, as they seem very interested.

Glad you were wrong about the relegation scrap, I believe we need just one more win to be safe.

In terms of dodgy signings for dubious reasons I’m more concerned about the lad we’ve signed on loan from Crewe’s bench whose name I can’t even remember…

Its a league two forum your our nearest local team cant help but enjoy your shaky times

I hear ya. Thankfully I remember the 80s, 90s and 00s pretty well and the Stags continued struggles were mildly amusing throughout but now surely its time to concentrate , from a far, more on your team. A great chance of you playing at elevated levels in L1 next season, exciting stuff.

Looking forward to Notts getting back to the 3rd tier in the not too distant future.

Im not worried at all about getting promotion ,were on of the best teams in this league got a brilliant depth to our squad so im fairly relaxed about seeing it through this time, then who knows but i think were better equipped than a lot of sides got a good chairman and pretty certain the infrastructure will soon be put in place to progress happy days

I've agreed with Spanishstag pretty much all season, this year will be different, they will avoid their almost annual choke job.

Spanishstag am I right in saying you watched Stags back in the 70s too?

Absolute bankers for Barrow and Wrexham so we need to keep the pressure on and beat Harrogate. Easier said than done, they’re in great form but they’ve not really beaten anyone decent in the last 10 games, Accrington about as good as it gets.
not a given for us at all. 4 Away wins all season and we've never won at Sutton. 5 games there and just 2 goals scored. Mullin and Lee are also completely out of form.

That is not a duo I would have ever imagined would be completely out of form at the same time. I'm a fan of both, pretty much always impress when I see WAFC.

Pitch inspection WTF. I'm on the train. Colchester running absolutely scared here. Cowleys channeling their inner Mansfield.

Our pitch looks like it’s had a load of donkies on it down the west stand side, and that’s after notts county left!

Game off officially. Absolute joke that, I'm just getting into Colchester. How shit is their pitch then? It's barely rained today. What a bunch of tinpot wankers. FGR, Sutton...please win tonight. I want Colchester to go down.
