Given the state of Bradford’s pitch I’d be surprised if they get another game on this season

Mansfield will win, which will wipe out MK Dons as a team that could overtake them in the promotion race. Clough would have one hand on the title as well.

If we’re able to finish above wrexham it would be an exceptional performance, that’s for sure.

Presuming those at the top would prefer a draw?

All depends how they go about it, i hope they come and play football, if they do that’s our best chance

I’m feeling a draw for some reason.

A win Tuesday would be absolutely massive.

Mansfield are up. No way three sides are going to better them this season. Just look at those bookies odds for promotion!!!

Personally I'm delighted for multiple reasons. Well deserved.

Yeah hopefully Mansfield can land another one on MK Dons. Need to just keep MK and Crewe behind us. Hopefully Clough's roughhouse tactics work well on MK Dons false 9 pretentiousness. I don't think you get two more different teams in terms of styles of play.

Yeah the biggest difference is how much more attacking, and entertaining minded we are while still having a rock solid defence. A mean feat.

I feel like this game at Wimbledon is a bit of a free hit for us, given we won the big one on Saturday we have some breathing space now and this being a game in hand I’m not too stressed about it.
Would very happily take a point but if we do lose I can live with that.
(As long as wanker Pell doesn’t score)

Highly unlikely that Harry Pell will make an appearance. Although I love him dearly, he's history and on his way out.

Rare Tuesday night league match trip to London for me. I was spared that series of Tuesday night defeats by the NL tinpotters, giving it large to the big brother from up norf…

Enjoy your trip to sarf London. I have holiday booked for both this Tuesday and next Tuesday against Gillingham. Our players are probably knackered after our win against MK. No clue as to how this will go

It's only a false nine as our main striker is injured and behind him was Harrison (also returning from injury) and Tezgel who has barely played a professional game.

I don't think we get anything here, our away form is shocking and as others have said we won't completely adapt our system just to counter Mansfield. We win or lose our way. The result on Saturday however should really kick some of these guys into a better performance, but I'm not confident at all.

Yep feels like a free hit, you're right. I've got a feeling we're gonna win for some reason.

God our record on the road midweek was awful that season considering we went up. I saw us lose at Bromley, Wealdstone, Solihull and Southend. Think Alty was the only place we won away midweek?

Yes, and for the record, I wasn’t including Southend as a tinpotter…a brotherhood club that we’ve had many fine tussles with as our fortunes were always aligned somewhat - for my age group, that started in 71/72 when we beat them to the Division 4 title.

I'll take a point on what I imagine is going to be a pudding of a pitch, much like Salford's turned into. 4 points from those two aways would be absolutely fine by me. With Tranmere at the weekend it's a good opportunity to increase our chances of a top 7 finish, but only if we can keep up the momentum we're gradually starting to build for the first time since the very beginning of the campaign. 4 points from the next two would set us up nicely, which would leave us needing approx 13 points from the final 9 games (for 71 points, the predicted play-off total on the Promotion thread) which seems manageable. The earlier we can knock the points off the better and there's a few games coming up which look ripe for taking some from if we're going to be serious.

Nice long trip up to Lancashire tomorrow for our rearranged game from October against Morecambe - not sure how many will travel now for the game. We are on a good run of form at the moment and they had a good win at Crewe on Saturday - would take a draw but need a win if we are going to keep ourselves in toughing distance of the playoffs and surprise everyone including our supporters. Sorry to those who had backed us to be relegated - don't think the bookies will pay out now.

Safe journeys to everyone following their teams tomorrow, some long trips scheduled for Grimsby and Gillingham.

I remember Southend being our shadow for a while, they went up with us 2 consecutive years from 4th to 2nd division (89/90 and 90/91) then they even had the good decency to go down with us in 96/97 and then again in 20/21.
Good lads.
In fact those 2 consecutive promotions I think Cambridge also went up with us both times, that must be a rare thing that, 3 sides going up 2 leagues together back to back?

Pitch should be fine as long as there's no torrential rain between now and kick off - there was nothing wrong with it when the last home game got called off. We just had a snowflake of a ref.

I’ve heard of games being called off because of blizzards before but never because of a snowflake.

Certainly a long midweek trip from N.E. Lincolnshire to Wimbledon but it has to be done! Back down again for Sutton on Saturday ( unless the medics realise I’ve escaped again!)
