The game at the New Lawn is between two sides who will have been embarrassed by the weekend results. Obviously this is worse for Sutton as of course we're playing the green galaticos. A win here for Sutton will be hilarious as much as anything. 1-0 Sutton via a Charlie Clough own goal

We're at York tomorrow and we arrive in good form. We've won our last 5 games and have gone 6 without conceding a goal through pre-season and up to Saturday's game against Torquay. York are a bit of an unknown for me - almost an entirely new team to last season and newly relegated teams often don't click into gear immediately. Therefore going for a 1-1 draw and another good showing from the mighty Silkmen.

Nothing other than a win will be acceptable tomorrow. Expecting a gate of near 3000 hopefully.

Yeah, we should be winning this. A win would set us up nicely, attendance wise, for our first home Saturday game of the season at the weekend.

Can't see Marriott starting twice in 3 days, so I'm guessing it'll be roles reversed and Margetts getting 60-70 minutes and Marriott coming on if needed.

Not desperate yet (far from it) but a win is needed in at least one of our next two games, both for the team's confidence and also to calm a minority of our fans down.

Out of this first weeks tough opening fixtures of Eastleigh (A), Wrexham (H) and Daggers (H) Tomorrow v Wrexham is probably our best chance of a win from slim pickings!

Not too confident against Tranmere - we got a good result there last season, but they're much stronger now and will be less complacent.
i'm predicting a red card for one of our men.

I don't think our away form was ever much good under Still but we'll perhaps be favourites tomorrow given the contrasting starts to the season for Chester and us. Fingers crossed for a point at least.

There's still a lot of confidence around the club even after underperforming last year and with the additions of Cook, Jennings and Stephenson we should have addressed our goal scoring issues.

With a more realistic home atmosphere (yet still expecting promotion) the home atmosphere should be better and players in turn will react accordingly.

Fancy a professional home win.

Oh absolutely. We're still a very new team and need to find that cohesion. I'm expecting that you won't sit back like Dover did though, so hopefully we'll have more space. Our defence is also streets ahead of last seasons lot so that gives me a bit of confidence.

I think we have to make the most of what is an easy start on paper (excluding Lincoln) and take 3 points tomorrow. It will be tough as Chester will want to get off the mark. We were a level above Southport but I expect Chester to be better 2-1 to us please.

Im not sure how the psychology of what happened at barrow last season will effect both sides, if we score early will barrow crumble or conversely will barrow come out all guns blazing to prove that our comeback was a 1 off?

A 2-0 win but not sure who for!!!

While they are the best team we've played this season, Torquay were undoubtedly poor and I don't wanted to get too excited about a good performance. Expect York to be a much better outfit and keen to pick up a first win of the season, especially so at home. Hopefully James and McCombe have recovered from the illness to give us a full squad to pick from as we will definitely be tested more defensively.

Aldershot then. We played okay on Saturday until we tired towards the end, and even then we still made some decent chances. I know next to nothing about this Aldershot team, so I'll sit on the fence and say draw, with 250 from the 'Stone.

Think Gateshead look a good side, so I'm not reading too much into Chester's defeat their on Saturday. That said, they don't have any players that particularly standout to me and I suppose if we want to be challenging, based on last season's table, Chester are the sort of side that we need to and should be beating.

2-0 Daggers.

Got a feeling it's going to be a draw as well. We're decent going forward but shaky at the back. Should be a decent game and a decent crowd, with Waddock's first home game and a decent away following, hoping for a crowd of over 2000.

Clearly we have only been holding our piss for this tin pot league and will be far too strong for the new boys. One nil to Sutton.

Can see us getting our first points on the board with this one*.... 2-0 to the Gulls with 70 hardy souls making the trip down.

*cue a repeat of last season's fiasco!

The games against sides we should be beating (NFU) are often ones we struggle, but now we have the Cowleys on board I would hope we can comfortably put them away with a home win. I live in a place that has about the same population as North Ferriby, so I don't know what to expect from them to be honest. I imagine they will pack the midfield and get as many men behind the ball as possible. Could be a night for some home fan patience needed.

Hoping for a draw (1-1), but expecting a loss 2-0. As long we don't get stuffed and the players put some effort in and rollover, I'll be happy.

We need to bounce back from the poor performance on Saturday. Saturday was a reality check for fans and players. Hopefully they can put right what happened on Saturday.

Expect it to be a nervy game, but overall I think we will come out 2-1 winners. We need to get three points on the board going into Saturday's game against a strong Gateshead side.

Elsewhere I expect wins for Gateshead Tranmere and Eastleigh.

I'm hoping for a better game of football than the last time a Paul Cox team visited Prenton when his Mansfield team parked the bus on the goal line for 90 minutes and got away with a point. The most negative tactics I've ever witnessed from a visiting team. I'm expecting more of the same from Barrow tomorrow night and think the home fans may need to show a bit of patience as the game progresses.
0-0 in front of 4700.

Don't think we'll get 3000 because it's a midweek game, can see us getting about 2500-2600 tomorrow and maybe close to 3000 against Sutton if we win against North Ferriby.

Definitely expect to win tomorrow, although we lost 4-0 to them in a FA trophy game a few years ago.

How many more times, Rhead isn't a donkey, 25 goals in 44 games isn't it? That's quite a good strike ratio, even better knowing he played most of last season with a serious hernia injury.
