After the killings of the two NYPD cops the rest of the force are have a slowdown, basically deliberately not doing their jobs properly.

Arrests down 66%.
Citations for traffic violations fell by 94 percent, from 10,069 to 587, during that time frame.
Summonses for low-level offenses like public drinking and urination also plunged 94 percent — from 4,831 to 300.
Even parking violations are way down, dropping by 92 percent, from 14,699 to 1,241.
Drug arrests by cops assigned to the NYPD’s Organized Crime Control Bureau — which are part of the overall number — dropped by 84 percent, from 382 to 63.

Long may it continue.

Lets face it, you've probably never been in a situation in your life where you do a job where your life is in danger on a daily basis. At the back end of last year I spent 3 months working almost daily with the Afghan National Army, some of the most unpredicatble bunch of people I've ever met. I will tell you for a fact that if at any time I felt my life to be in danger I or the people I worked with 100% would not have hesitated to pull the trigger first. Would that have been the wrong thing to do? Would I have had a 'moron' like you tell me I was wrong to do it and I was a racist? Does Westie post on here? I remember him being quite vocal in support of police, a policeman himself so somebody with a bit of actual experience. Not some jumped up idiot sat at home professing to know the ways of the world.

Where is your proof that any of these killings were racial motivated, because that's a massive claim you've put out there. What you've seen is carefully selected stories from the media detailing a very very small number of black people being killed by police. If you did the slightest bit of research you'd also see the same about white guys getting shot by the police.

But if you feel happier sat behind your computer screen putting the world to rights in your clueless little bubble then carry on, it's tragic to witness.

there was only eleventeen and a half cops sitting on the guys face and incapaciting him entirely at the time tbf. you can certainly see how the cop would feel his life was in danger at that point, and pumping 5 rounds in to the guy at point blank range is, imo, a reasonable reaction. the very definition of self defence i'd argue. you shouldn't hesistate if you scared init lewlew

While I denounce the media's selective reporting in search of the controversy which buys Rupert Murdoch and his clones their 4th and 5th vacation homes, this is utter shite — hypocritical, condescending, and incorrect. If you look at the percentage of people killed by police offers in the United States, it largely skews towards one demographic. I say this as a person—one geographically very close to the issue—who doesn't believe the Michael Brown incident was particularly wrong. Now there are loads of other less-profiled cases that are really shocking. The Travyon Martin verdict, Eric Garner, the children with toy guns, etc. — it's clear there is a judicial double standard. I'm not accusing all, or even the majority, of those in law enforcement, but there is a tragic systemic mistreatment of black men and women in America (and likely elsewhere).

Have you seen the e-mails from the Ferguson PD which have surfaced? Or the extreme disparity in traffic citations issued? I don't think there is a correlation between "feeling threatened" and pulling over young black men on suspicion. As someone who drives in this city and surrounding areas daily, it's not just young, black men who are speeding. So why the chronic prejudice?

I am thrilled that our vey own British police are absolutely refusing to be outdone in the fuckwittery stakes by our American cousins.

The news that Lincolnshire Police have cracked down hard on fascist kids ripping up pavements on their stabiliser-clad, Barbie-decorated bicycles on the way to and from school is testament to the vigour and robustness of 21st Century policing in Britain today.

I for one am sick and tired of four-year-old kids holding the country to fucking ransom with their pink bicycles and betasselled handlebars, and I applaud Lincolnshire's finest. Not only did the officer threaten the little girl and her father but he indicated that he was going to sit in the warm in his brand new police car and watch to see if she got back on the bicycle further down the road.

At last! Strong, effective policing!! If children are old enough to ride a bicycle, then they are old enough to ride on busy A roads and dual carriageways. You can't have one rule for adults and one for the Under 5's, can you? That would lead to anarchy and mass immigration.

The only slightly troubling aspect to this story is that the officer had clearly seen this hardened criminal breaking the law and didn't even attempt to taser her nor did he breath-test her.
