Enjoyed that! Didn't realise that Merthyr had an artificial pitch. Don't they cost £500k to install?
The population of Merthyr, according to Wiki, is slightly higher than that of Wrexham. Are they all egg-chasers or what?

I think Merthyr is supposed to be a football town. I certainly remember them having high attendances in their first season in the Conference in 89/90.

Yeah, between 1989 and 1995. Apparently Stuart Fleetwood plays for them now too!

Always admired Merthyr. Along with Colwyn Bay, Newport and Caernarvon (for a while) they stood up to that prick Alun Evans and refused to join the Micky Mouse WPL despite being forced to play away from their bases in England. They had a crowd of 2,500 earlier this season when the shit hit the fan. The trouble is they don't return on a regular basis. Long live Merthyr.
