No time to dwell on the Wolves loss, just got to pick ourselves up and go again quickly.

We've now lost 3/4 of our games at home this season, no loss away from home in nearly 6 months. We'll be alright here.

Steele
Wright Flint Baker Mags
Brownhill Smith Pack Bryan
Paterson Reid
Villa 1-3 City (Hourihane 12') (Smith 58', Reid 71', Paterson 89')

I like to see Taylor start instead of Paterson as he not fit.

We should have this unless they get a lucky deflection again from a 30 yard hit and hope like last time. Villa the exact type of side I expect us to beat, solid but no dynamism whatsoever.
Looking back at yesterday we totally threw away 3 points with individual mistakes most importantly probably from Johnson by leaving Flint up front. The best team in the league didn't touch us aside from set pieces.

Other results went well for us today.
A real chance to take advantage here after letting the game slip away on Saturday.

Yup injuries finally taking their toll... most other squads making 3-5 changes for today... we’ve made 1, our goalkeeper.

We were good first 10 mind but the players look fucked, magnusson was terrible.. if he doesn’t get taken off at half time we’re gonna take a hammering.

And grealish is an odious little c***. I knew he was a cheating little prick but to roll around in supposed agony after a late challenge holding his leg, then to get up when he realises baker isn’t going to get the red he was hoping he’d get.

Thought we played some good stuff up to the goal and the better team comfortably. Since the goal we’ve completely lost our composure, going long and isolated Bobby. Bryan has done nothing this half.

Villa looking comfortable now and should be 3 up.

Villa look poor imho, but we are absolutely shattered and their extra man in midfield is making the difference. This is a game too much for us. Take the loss, and recouperate. We should have a few back from injury and a couple of signings in time for our next league game.

Well done to our lads for keeping the run going until saturday despite a threadbare squad. Immensely proud.

Half of a half I would say but yes you deserve at least 2 so far.

The predictions earlier in this thread are interesting.

Well I’ve seen us play a lot worse than that and not lose 5-0. Despite the score line it wasn’t a 5-0 performance from us. Take the two chances at the start of the 2nd half and it would obviously have been a different game.

Fair play to Villa, after the 1st they took us apart on the break. Their fans were quiet until the 3rd I thought.

The FA Cup and January has come at a good time for us. Play the under 23s at Watford and get some reinforcements in on loan or permanently.

meltdown begun
Where? We don’t meltdown on your scale pal most of us predicted a relegation battle before the season started so more than happy with 4th currently.

Majority of our players were knackered today, hopefully we play the kids against Watford cause the first team need a rest. Also could do with a few new signings before the Norwich Home game.

We were tired and came up against a ruthless clinical team. That's pretty much that. Not too worried or concerned. Huddersfield took a couple of batterings last year, look at them now. We'll get some reinforcements in and go again.

Probably beat us again - you did in the League cup with a weaken side.

Yeah I know! Can’t see that happening again.. I’m sure watford would of learned from their mistake last time and the fa cup should be something you take seriously this year I would of thought. Either way I genuinely couldn’t give less of a toss about the game.

Kev doesn't even attend games mate.

Shite today left after the third and am already back home for the darts. Not angry at all though, this has been on the cards for a while. We need a few signings to bolster the squad and players back from injury.

Be nice to but we've lost 6 in 7 for a reason against teams bang out of form...

If you can’t beat our kids (hopefully) on Saturday then I’d fear relegation if I were you
