Look at high flying Carlisle top of the form table. Win all their remaining games and make the playoffs.

I’m glad we have a week off before this Barrow game. Make no mistake it’ll be hard work. It’s these types of games which even this season we haven’t taken advantage of such as Oldham away. Barrow have some good players and are underachieving in my opinion so they could easily beat us if we’re not at it.

Another massive game and just getting bigger by the week. This game against Barrow will be the litmus test really after a passing a tough run of fixtures with flying colours.

As mentioned we’ve had a tendency to flop in games against the strugglers and it’s going to be pointless beating teams around us if we don’t consolidate in the kinder looking fixtures.

Looks like a sell out away following (possibly all five will be now). Finally get a week off and the lads have been given a couple of days off now.

Have to treat Barrow the same as we did Mansfield, Exeter and Sutton and play at the levels we have been recently, so that we should get a positive result but any complacency and we know Barrow or anyone in this league can hurt you.

We couldn't hurt you - we'd be lucky if we lay a finger on you. The lack of effort yesterday in one of our nine remaining "cup finals" (hate that bollocks) tells me that some of our players are on the beach now - mostly the ones who already have a contract for next season.

We looked bollocksed yesterday, I'd make changes Tuesday night and if we can come away with a point then fantastic and rest a few for the Northampton game next week.

It's a game where historically we slip up. You've got a new manager who will be desperate to keep you up, possibly with a view to getting the job long term.

Thought you played quite well first half at Vale park.

Our confidence is so high at the moment, plus we have a week to recover, that I can't see anything other than a win. But I've seen us drop enough bollocks to know that life is never plain sailing as a vale fan.

Make no mistake, if we're not bang at it like we have been in the last 5 games then we could slip up. Football is never that predictable.

Worst thing is Phil Brown is doing the London half marathon on Sunday… coincidentally the same as my first ever attempt… bet they beat us and he streams past me!

Best of luck mate. I did the full one last October, one of the best experiences I've ever had.

Wellens has said that changes will have to be made to our team for Tuesday due to the high amount of games we've had the last 3/4 weeks - thankfully this is the last of our backlogged games.

We played well enough Saturday to get win the game, but we had a few moments where we looked laboured physically and mentally. Boundary Park isn't the happiest of hunting grounds for us, alot I think will depend on how Oldham start the game, there will be a chance for them to get something against us because we're due to run out of steam at some point.

I've forgotten what it feels like to go to work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.............

Thanks Mate, should be a good challenge! I could barely run 1.5k a few months ago!

I was similar to be honest and I'm by no means an athlete but managed it in 4hrs 25 which I was delighted with! My advice would be to run your own race. People try and keep pace with others at the start and then later on they're knackered! Apologies for the off topic.

Not the best time to be playing the form team in Carlisle, when our own is so patchy and we need the win. Inclining towards a draw for this one.

Pleased to see Orient doing the right thing and “resting” players for Oldham. For everyone with nothing to play for and on Oldhams fixture list there is a greater good at stake here. Save the brotherhood shit for the pub league but we should all unite in saying fuck off Stevenage!

I am sorry our need for points yesterday was greater than Oldham’s.

They need to beat Stevenage and if they do, it should go a long way to ensure their survival.

I’ve just had a glance at your remaining fixture list. Apart from Crawley (who I am hopeful Yems will have them do the right and honourable thing) it’s basically a list of teams with something to play for including us. At least you have a bit of a GD cushion I suppose.

Crawley having a look at what the off season will be like on Saturday.

Lawnmowers to push, hedges to be trimmed and bbqs to be lit...come back footy. All is forgiven!

Suppose the entire top half will be supporting hartlepool for the night

Completely unashamedly too. Also Crawley as well just to eliminate Salford from any playoff hopes they may have.

Oates struggled a bit against Hartlepool at home though, almost looked like he was trying too hard.
