What is interesting is that Charlton & Peterboro have two consecutive home games during this period while FGR & Bristol R have two away games.
FGR & Bristol R would I'm sure have preferred it the other way around, in the optimistic hope of securing points towards League 1 survival: - ie success always attracts further successes.

We’ve now played 8 of the top 10 and only 3 of the bottom 10 so a run of more kinder fixtures on paper now… which means absolutely nothing when it comes to Vale!

The FGR one looked a huge huge game but the win against Derby has taken some pressure off that one. That said it’s one that we could do with winning to keep comfortably where we want to be.

We’ve a good record against FGR but they had a great result as well yesterday and no game is easy. Hopefully we can push on though now and consolidate our mid table comfort.

FGR were very poor when we played them recently, but I think they had a few out through injuries

Our next three are Ipswich, Wednesday, Barnsley and I suspect we'll be lucky to get a point, which is why it was disappointing we were so flat yesterday against a Charlton side who were there for the taking (they probably thought similar about us).

Charlton (A) & Oxford (H) - would take 3 points total out of both.

Any more and Nicholson would certainly be throwing his hat in the ring for the job on a permanent basis.

Feels like with Vale whenever we have a big win we have in the past followed it up with a bit of a letdown. Always a close game between us and FGR and expect this will be similar. At home though we should be looking at the three points realistically.

Looking at respective positions and the form table we should be looking at 4 points minimum from Charlton and Oxford.
But we all know it doesn't work like that, these two will not be easy and could go either way.
Hope that we can keep players fit now we are playing twice a week as our squad is thin at the moment.

Yep, would be a waste if we can’t push on from yesterday but expect a tough game nonetheless.

We’ve played 9 of the top 11 in our first 12 games and sit in a solid position so it’s crucial we hit the next 11 games to complete the first half of the season over the 25 point mark but ideally over 30 to leave us less to do second half.

Hopefully yesterday is one of those pivotal moments in a season where we grow from the confidence and belief that we do belong here.

Time will tell but two fairly winnable games to come against sides out of form so let’s see how we go. Bit worried we will be losing Harrison for a game soon though, four yellows now!

Peterborough won’t fancy facing us the form we’re in, on our joint best run of wins (1) and we even comfortably (ish) kept a clean sheet for the first time this season v Bolton. Basically we’re now on fire.

Hoping that Nailsworth’s finest take it out of the Posh on Tues night so that they’re knacked by the time they face us on Saturday.

We will then face them again in the pizza cup the following Tuesday…can we stop facing all the top fricking teams in a row please?

Tough task down at Cambridge, not a happy hunting ground for us but hopefully we keep up the chase on those above us.

I’m not too worried about Harrison. You have to factor it in that aggression is a part of his game so with that have to accept this is going to be the case with him at some point. I certainly wouldn’t want him to change that.

Yesterday should provide us with confidence. We didn’t just beat Derby by shithousing it we actually were the better side for large parts of the game. With that said FGR should feel the same after beating Bolton (who at this point in my opinion are probably a step ahead of Derby). Need to be on this from the start, any let up and we will lose.

Finally my first game of the season. Feel like we’re improving now, but can’t help but feel that we never do well at MK.

We’re in abysmal form at the moment. In our last six games, we’ve had five defeats and, while Barnsley, Derby and Ipswich were obviously ok to stomach, we put in two awful performances/got two very poor defeats at Cheltenham and Bristol Rovers too.

Last season we surprised the bigger sides now and then. Aside from a scrappy draw at Charlton we’ve not done that this year. I’m expecting us to lose to Wednesday because of the run we’re on (and because Wednesday are, we’ll, quite good). But we all know on our day we are capable of matching anyone in the division at home.

Quietly confident after coming through arguably the toughest set of 6 fixtures in the division to be honest. You would have thought that an out of form MK Dons should be a bit of a breeze going on previous results but last weekend proved that no game is won before a ball is kicked. 2-0 Greens

No choice really as this (MK Dons away) is the rearranged Saturday game from when the Queen popped her clogs

Not liking the fact that we'll be 3 games behind the teams above us this weekend. Thanks Sky.

We don't have a bad record at the Valley, so hopefully can get something there (at least it's not at Fratton as Charlton have beaten us six times on the bounce here!). Only 2 points from the last three games so we need to get back on track.

I'm staying hopeful as we're still playing good football and going 2-1 to us. Scarlett and Koroma for us, Leaburn for them.

To be honest, I thought you looked solid and strong when you played us but just lacking that bit of flair and imagination. It was all quite functional. Can still see that style in a playoff place at least.

Yes, that's probably a good call. Michael Jacobs is our one player who can unlock a defence with a pass but he seems to have dropped down the pecking order since getting injured. In our current formation he'd only really fit in wide left, and he has two good players ahead of him in Koroma and Curtis. I'd definitely be bringing him on second half to break a deadlock though - we didn't on Saturday vs Fleetwood and just served up more of the same.

Still, we're averaging two points a game which would mean 92 points at the end of the season if it plays out. That means we're still in the race for the autos, although I admit play-offs are more likely.

Well, playing centre halves who aren't centre halves was always going to end like this. Still attacking well, deserve to get something out of this

It could end up 4-4, it’s very open. Next goal is massive.

Impressive team Peterborough I thought when we played them. Think it was us who helped play them back into form so sorry about that.

Well I got the 4 for Charlton correct. That was a mental 2nd half and we were so open. Key, playing at RCB but thinks he’s playing wing back and it’s left us exposed too often.

Very flattering for Charlton but you can’t be so open defensively and expect anything.
