Following on from the events of the last 48 hours I am pleased that we have managed to revert to a newer backup.

Any minimal content posted between 14-16th has been lost, otherwise we are back at full speed.

We are on a brand new setup after catastrophic hardware failure. Details here; http://euk-status.com/node-pheukvlite17-inaccessible/

Welcome back.

Have some strange goings on.

When I login with my desktop at work, I have this update with restored up until 14th Jan. When looking on my phone, I can only get the previous back-up with the data loss? makes it hard to follow threads.

Edit: it’s now the other way around :lol:

It's fine on my laptop, has posts up until 14 January.

Well done anyway in getting most of the content restored, there was some posts on Monday in response to a thread I posted on which it would have been a shame to lose!

It's because we had switched to a new IP, and have now reverted; so peoples DNS settings may be a little funky (though most should self resolve quickly after any change). If issues persist they clearing cache/cookies should be enough; failing that flush your DNS via command prompt (windows) using the following;

ipconfig /flushdns
ENTER

Whilst I'm happy the forums back after its restoration ,I still find it frustrating when there is little or no warning that these issues will result in the place going offline.

I just find it perplexing that a forum that has recently had more walkabouts than Kwai Chang Caine fails to provide a heads up before it slips on its Jesus sandals and gets ready for another pilgrimage.

Well it keeps flipping between two versions for me, only using my phone all day, one time it will be December version, 5 mins later I will refresh page and its back to this version.

Re load page 10 mins later and its back to Dec. I'm not the only one either on the December version people are saying they are having the same issues. Hard to keep up with threads when one minute you are on a December thread the next you are on a 2019 one!

When I log in now it’s the normal version but the site only loads if I switch off my WiFi.

Have you tried the below?

If issues persist they clearing cache/cookies should be enough; failing that flush your DNS via command prompt (windows) using the following;

MySQL failure and the service kept getting stuck in reboot phase.

All fixed now.

No refund is planned for the mornings downtime which persisted for around 9 hours.

Sorry you feel that way, have simply used this thread to let you know of the things I've fixed.

Side note to others, our rules on advertising still haven't changed.
