LVG murdered him after he didn't score for 42 matches.
Loved by all Manchester (City) fans.

Springfield Park (Wigan).

Came back from holiday in 1990 ish. Arrived back Friday night then decided to go and watch the pre season Manx Cup game Wigan and Rochdale oon ttwixtoonSaturday.

Arrived at Springfield Park to discover the place was shut up. Friendly local looked up from his pie long enough to inform me that Wigan 6 v 0 Dale had happened the previous evening.

A narrow escape...:)

Accrington Stanley 7-4 Gillingham, back of a Minorcan bus on the way to Mahon, accompanied by much swearing and yelling to the surprise and amusement of the locals.

Badly timed stag do a couple of years ago; took off from East Midlands airport when 1-0 down at home to Fleetwood in a game which, if we won, gave us the title. Landed in Spain and learned of our victory somewhere near passport control - cue much cheering & excitement for 3/4 of the group.
