Wigan got their promotion bid firmly on track by blowing away Swindon yesterday. Good chance to properly turn up the heat on Burton by winning this one. They are capable of dropping a result, but you'd fancy them to have too much for Rochdale.

Saying that, Dale are making a late push for the play offs. Only 4 points off Bradford in 6th, if they can pull off a surprise result here, they would be right in the hunt. Always capable of springing a shock result as well.

Can see Wigan just nicking this one, wouldn't rule out Dale getting a result though.

All match discussion here.

This should be a cracking game.

If Dale play positively, stay on the front foot and chase everything down they've a chance of winning. Can't afford to sit back, Wigan are too good going forward and will pick us off if we do.

No, best hope is to go for it - we've got the firepower and Grant Holt may have a point to prove...

Optimistic prediction - Wigan 3, Dale 4

Are you listening football gods...? Love the cockiness, everyone is in this league on merit. Hope we turn up and play as well as we have been the last few weeks. I know it will be tough. Resources wise we should be blown out of the water here, but anybody can beat anybody in this league.

Wigan looked far better than us earlier in the season so I'd take a point. In fact, I reckon we'll get one: 2-2.

You lost at home to Blackpool though :fish:.

For what it's worth I'm going 2-1 Wigan.

Unfortunately Wigan are by far the best team I've seen this season. Having seen both Wigan and Rochdale twice this year I would expect a comfortable Wigan win, but Rochdale are on a great run and who knows, this league is highly unpredictable.

I would quite like a Wigan win today though, we could do with Rochdales run being halted.

Can't see anything other than another cushy home win with that squad.

3/4-0 this one. Expecting Burton to lose also, so it looks like we would have to take aim at them.

Would have taken at least a point with 11. The red ruined the game for us. Thought Wigan were poor tbh.

You're not the cross-eyed wiganer in the pub I'm in are you? Time-wasting? Only side I saw doing that was Wigan and against 10 men at home, poor.

Henderson cost us there, with 11 on the pitch I feel we would have got at least a point.

Good to see that little Dale managed to take more fans to massive Wigan than they managed to us and with train cancellation n'all ;).
