Dunno the form Besiktas are in, but Liverpool are going well just now and I think they'll win 2 - 0.

Agreed. Haven't watched Besiktas since....well that 8-0 drubbing but we should comfortably beat them on our current form.

Beskitas are a decent side. They Played arsenal and almost got an upset in Champions League qualifing. Drawing 0-0 in Turkey and one Scanhez goal at the Emirates being just enough.
Then they were in Spurs Europa League Group. They drew 1-1 at the Lane and won 1-0 in Turkey against a depleted Spurs. Will be very close with away goals playing a big part IMO

If anyone would like to know what kind of form Besiktas are in it's 4 wins on the trot in the Turkish league which they are the leaders of. Quite an interesting battle for the title actually with Fenerbahce just a pt behind and Galatasaray 2. Nice to see the country's 3 big clubs doing well.

I don't think it'll be as easy as your run of the mill eastern european opponent but still reckon Liverpool will take this 2-1 or 3-2.

Liverpool still have more of a chance of winning this years CL than you lot and they aren't even in it ;)
Fortunately we have more of a chance of recruiting CL caliber players (see: Sanchez, Alexis) and competing in next season's edition. :box:

I think we have to win tonight as I can't see us getting anything better than a draw in Turkey. Would like to see both Sturridge and Balotelli start.

Besiktas going well in the Turkish League, top of the table. I think it will be tough.

Personally hope he doesn't play Balotelli, can see this being the type of game/cup he thinks he's above and so wont put a shift in.

Result depends on the team he plays, he might mix it up with Brad Jones - Lovren - Johnson.- Manquillo - Ibe

Brad Jones? Johnson? Unless we plan on losing I hope we don't start them.

Mignolet; Can, Skrtel, Sakho; Ibe, Henderson, Allen, Moreno; Lallana, Coutinho; Sturridge.

Should be enough to win.

Yeah thats a pretty strong team, should create chances and Sterling is back on the bench and could inspire something if need be late on.

I'm not anti liverpool, but Anfield remains the quiestest ground in the Premiership (and it has stiff opposition), its almost as if the crowd are intentionally trying to make absolutely no noise.

At least the Besiktas fans are making up for it, they've been pretty loud.
