It was a poor challenge, a foul and a yellow card - for me. He certainly didn't look like he was going in hard trying to hurt Shaw or anything like that, he looked absolutely gutted when he saw the extent of the injury.
None of the players appealed for a penalty, but I think that was more down to an immediate worry about Shaw's well-being than anything.
Yeah I don't think there was malicious intent or anything, but his left leg crashes into shaw ridiculously for me. Feel fucked for Shaw, one of our best players and was looking better and better every game.
We always start out knocking the ball about well with good movement off the players, but there eventually comes a point where it gets increasingly sideways and you'll notice the attackers a) pass ball b) go sit up against the deep opposition defence waiting for it wheen there's no space to play the ball in behind.
