Did not expect that line up! Expect we've got one eye on Southampton with Schneiderlin and Carrick likely to start that one now.

Hopefully Mata impresses in a more central role and Memphis continues his good CL form.

I hope you are right about Mata being central but knowing Van Gaal we could see Memphis tried out there again behind Martial or - shudder - we could even see a 442!

That was a beautiful bit of skill, great goal. Maybe Depay just loves Europe.

Shaw injury is awful news, he's been United's best player this season.

Everytime I look at that tackle it pisses me off. That follow through was disgusting.

It was a poor challenge, a foul and a yellow card - for me. He certainly didn't look like he was going in hard trying to hurt Shaw or anything like that, he looked absolutely gutted when he saw the extent of the injury.

None of the players appealed for a penalty, but I think that was more down to an immediate worry about Shaw's well-being than anything.

Yeah I don't think there was malicious intent or anything, but his left leg crashes into shaw ridiculously for me. Feel fucked for Shaw, one of our best players and was looking better and better every game.

How the fuck are United not winning this game? :err:

Devastating counter to be fair, I wish United did that...

United finally looking like a fluid team and they are losing, Van Gaal will no doubt go back to his boring football in the next game.

It's becoming an ever more common trend that we take the lead in games only to lose it and even fall behind.

That's a frustrating result. United had all the possession, De Gea was a spectator for nearly all of the game and we've still come out with nothing.

PSV weren't up to much themselves but they had a plan - defended well and snuck the winner from an excellent counter attack.

The home games are the vital games in the group stage of this competition but this was a winnable fixture and we should definitely have got something from it.

That performance sums up LVG's Manchester United. Impotent.

Awful night for United. They lack penetration and one of the few players (arguably the only one this season) that can actually take on players and create openings has broken his leg.

All foreplay, no action.

We always start out knocking the ball about well with good movement off the players, but there eventually comes a point where it gets increasingly sideways and you'll notice the attackers a) pass ball b) go sit up against the deep opposition defence waiting for it wheen there's no space to play the ball in behind. :hb:

Big shame for Luke Shaw. He was showing this season what a good full-back he was and he'll be a miss not only for United but for England too. Hope he makes as rapid a comeback as possible.
