It's a pain in the arse for Grimsby Town. I can see that. But I don't think Gateshead have done anything wrong here.

I'd like you to quote who has said Gateshead are being INCREDIBLY UNREASONABLE. I'm salty towards Gateshead as are a lot of us but none of it is their fault. It would have just saved a lot of hassle for a lot of teams if it was done on the day, especially when in previous seasons this has happened before with Gateshead particularly.

All comes back around to Trophy games not having replays in the first place. Has never made sense.

Not at all, I'm sure Gateshead want this to derail their promotion hopes as much as we do. Which is why some may feel it would have suited both parties to settle it on the day, though I can understand why they didn't.

As I said before the easiest way to settle it on the day is to go out there and win it on the day. Nobody is to blame but the players for not putting in a performance. We was at home against a side who had about one win in 10 in the league and that was against Alfreton, and we had a pretty much full strength side out, only one player difference that a week later made the league leaders look like relegation fodder.

I've been thinking, what with beating them with 9 men last week and them getting absolutely walloped by Dover on Saturday, do we really need to bother going all the way down to Dartford again on Saturday, can't they do the the decent thing and give us the tie? I mean, it's not lke everyone doesn't already know how it's going to go down is it like? Come on Dartford, step aside and spare yourselves another humiliation. :woo:

Normally hate going to Braintree as we always lose there. Got a good feeling about this one, fancy us to get something out of the game.

Should be 300+ Fleet fans there too which isn't all that bad.

I don't miss this trophy at all, fair enough have Replay's if they really must but can't it be played in midweek. The season we managed to get to Wembley in this we were playing Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday for 3/4 weeks.

If games are going to be played on Saturday's then IMO replays should be scrapped.

Why didn't you play kids and lose 0-10 in the original tie then?

You haven't got a leg to stand on here. My polite advice would be to forfeit or give over. Gateshead are perfectly entited to do what they've done.

You're not familiar with Paul Hurst are you?

Fylde are too well backed not to succeed unfortunately.

Hope FCUM can cause a shock in the next round of course.

If the game is called off tonight, we have to tell Nuneaton we cannot play them on Saturday, despite the chances being that Gateshead won't get their pitch in order before that. So in theory we could not have a game on Saturday despite some of us having perfectly good pitches to play on, which in turn means our game at Eastleigh next Tuesday will also be off.

And Gateshead wonder why we're a bit fucked off...

To be fair that is ridiculous.

I really don't understand you at times. What can't you grasp about adverse weather and the effect it can have. We have had snow, heavy rain, frost and high winds, circumstances that have led to other clubs having games called off recently and yet you appear to think that its a problem that only effects us and that we do it deliberately just to annoy you!
No doubt you will refer back to the issues we had two years ago, issues that were fixed and to which we have had no problems since. I know you are all desperate to get promoted, but so are a lot of other teams and they don't bang on like you do. The sooner you accept you are nothing special, just a non league club like the rest of us, the more likely you are to go up and the less likely you are to give yourself health issues. Here's hoping for a good game tonight and may the best team win, (hopefully us).

It just takes a little foresight, is all. This weather was clearly on its way and we could've easily predicted this would happen.

Anyway it doesn't matter now as the game is on. Well, until we get a few hours up the road again. Then it's off.

Oh no! How are you going to cope as a full-time club with such a small squad and budget!?

You seem to be the only ones who have major problems.

Last season we had a mild winter, very few games were actually called off. As soon as a bit of rain falls your pitch turns into a pond. It's not all your fault, but it's extremely frustrating for clubs who have seasons affected by somebody elses mess.
