Cool, thanks.

It was Gateshead that had to play home matches at other grounds because their pitch was unplayable a couple of years ago?

That's right. They ended up playing home matches at York and Hartlepool, among other places.
However, I thought that they had relaid the pitch.

The weather isn't the annoying part, it's the fact your club refused to settle the game on the day. Now with the game most likely going to be off on Wednesday as well, it will be pushed to Saturday which means even more postponements. Why would a club notorious for failing to field games on their home turf risk having to do so? It is incredibly tinpot.

Gateshead at it again, it's one thing no addressing the obvious problems in your ground but the fact you refused to play ET at our place is just beyond a joke.

Errr, what are you on about? Why would a team risk settling a match away from home when they have the option to have another crack on their own patch? I understand the frustration of postponements but Gateshead are perfectly entitled to do what they've done.

Don't let common sense get in the way of a good moan Alty!

I'm not moaning at all. Gateshead drew a Trophy tie away and are being moaned at by you lot for wanting a home replay. Not their fault you lot have your knickers in a twist.

I'm sure some of the anger should be aimed towards the rule makers of the trophy. Should we have replays? Should it be midweek? Be interested in seeing what others think.

As for us, we just need to get on with it. Its all we can do. Feel for Wrexham, and who both of us are supposed to be playing on saturday in the league in Nuneaton and Welling, who are still hanging on until Wednesday night. They need to start preparing for this weekend but can't fully do so. Is this reason enough to scrap replays?

About time Gateshead started ground sharing at York Street again, imo.

I meant our fans were moaning not you !

The only people to blame in this are our players, there was one change in the starting 11 between Gateshead and Barnet, yet we raised our game against Barnet but struggled to 0-0 bore draw with Gateshead, if we beat them on the day we wouldn't have this problem.

If you don't want to be in it, forfeit the tie. We want to be in it and win it, that's why we wouldn't agree to settling it on the day away from home.

You've got to actually play the game if you're going to win it and considering we're significantly better away than at home, you'd think going to extra time at our place would benefit your lot. Worst thing is most of us don't even want to be in this garbage tournament.

Why didn't you play kids and lose 0-10 in the original tie then?

You haven't got a leg to stand on here. My polite advice would be to forfeit or give over. Gateshead are perfectly entited to do what they've done.

Umm why would Hurst want to sacrifice the C̶h̶a̶m̶p̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶L̶e̶a̶g̶u̶e̶ FA Trophy?

Because Hurst wants to win the Trophy more than he wants to win the league.

Another lurker who has decided to take the plunge. 'We' didn't play the kids because fans aren't involved in team selection! Just like we can't decide to forfeit, although I bet the majority of fans would. Doesn't mean we're not entitled to a whinge when it all turns into a bit of a farce.

By all means whinge. All fans do that. But making out Gateshead are being INCREDIBLY UNREASONABLE is a bit pathetic. They wanted a replay but the weather in the Northeast is bad. Hardly the crime of footballing crimes, is it?
