Firstly, what a game! If you didn't play it, you missed out.

Secondly, given that it's an old game and computers have come on quite a long way since then(!), has anyone got it working before on their PC/laptop? Found a copy of it the other day and I vaguely remember to trying to get it to work a few years back but to no avail.

Thirdly, if yes to the above - how? And is there a relatively new update with it?

These pictures bring back some memories - https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=u...AcQ_AUoAmoVChMIhrzKq_7pxgIVy7sUCh08aw5T#imgrc=_

It's probably easier to get a pirated version working than it is an original copy. There seems to be loads of cracks available on the internet. It also looks like someone did do a 2012 update, but whether or not that's still easy to find or ever worked in the first place is another issue!

I still give Premier manager an outing on the mega drive every couple of years.

I loved USM, absolutely quality game.

LMA was a good one too, its a shame they aren't many alternatives to Football manager now.

to be fair there is alternatives out there, but the greed on football rights has murdered the sports game scene.

problem is others try and do different ones, but they cannot afford to pay for team names, player names etc, etc which leaves you only FM or Fifa if you want the genuine names.........a shame because it limits you on alternatives.

I miss the 90's you had champ Man, Sensible World, USM, Player Manager, Proff Football Manager, Premier Manager, etc, etc

I think on steam is 2 new manager games out in last couple of months, but neither has full name rights, but may be interesting to try to see how it plays.......one good thing with this rush of greenlight games is that you can try cheap and if they grow they maybe can then afford rights.

I'm not to worried about naming rights and surely on the PC their are easy work arounds with editing? What are the ones that are online.

To be fair Football Manager is brilliant anyway and I doubt I'd have time for an alternative these days. Fifa is rubbish, never liked it even when it apparently picked up a bit.

Didn't even realise they'd be a pirate version to get hold of.

Anyone got hold of one?

Those managers in the first post probably got sacked pretty quickly. Bergkamp at centre back and Irwin up front?

Had to google Jason Crowe too, he ended up at Grimsby apparently SoC? Think I'd love the orginal version just for all the obscure players.

Bit before me this, I was always on LMA Manager when I was younger, that was decent, not overly complicated but still a very good game.

Can't seem to get a copy working and I'm reluctant to download anything on my laptop through fear of it completely fucking it up!
