I thought we were fairly poor in all departments once again today. However, Chesterfield were woeful and, on that showing, have no chance of avoiding the drop. No real quality in a poor game all round but the atmos wasn't bad. Hopefully see you in a few years Spireites when you resolve the...
I think Viking and Spire seem like the perfect couple. How long have you been together? Maybe you should get married and have your 'Big Day' in Mansfield.
This is only going one way unfortunately. Spireites will be up for it big time following a good comeback last night to boost confidence as well as the threat of non-league. Conversely, our lot do not know how to win. Zero confidence, general lack of fire-power and a non-specific air of...
Don't worry Spireites. You will defo win next week. Just about any side could beat us ATM. We are so appallingly bad.
PS - We have sold our allocation but I think they were bought when people actually thought we were in with a chance.
We are almost certain to create plenty of chances against Crewe, it's converting them that is our long-term issue. Unfortunately I just can't see this happening with our current strike force. It will probably finish 1-1 like many other of our recent games. We just cannot hold on to a lead.
I would be extremely surprised if we got anything from this. We haven't beaten Accy in 13 attempts and there is nothing to suggest that will change tomorrow. We are very poor of late, no real goal threat although we may get the odd chance. 1-3 Accy.
It was all a bit naff really wasn't it? Not one bit of quality from either side all game. I suppose the conditions had an effect but both side were really poor, more like a mid-table battle than a promotion game. Nailed on pen btw, I was right in line. Silly from the defender.
Looking forward to our 'Big Day Out' on Saturday. Hoping to be at waterfront for 10am with a few Guinness for St Patrick! Will probably miss most of the first half as my bladder seems to have shrunk with age.
I suppose we should have a thread for this as it's a local derby. Having said that, there seems to be a distinct lack of interest compared to the Spireite and even County games, although the away end will no doubt be full. I am assuming it will be on as the snow seems to have mostly cleared.
As...
