Not sure. I guess it's all speculation as fees are never disclosed these days, but in The Athletic this morning they say that Faal cost us £500k, and that Rathbone cost us £550k and is our record signing.

Fair point! Although I do think Harrogate continually pushing up the fee beyond a reasonable valuation and taking it so close to the wire is why it ultimately fell down.

That does seem strange. The thing I read said that West Brom had bid £500k which would have made more sense. I can't see us paying a million so he'll probably stay where he is. Parky and the club tend to walk away if they think the fee doesn't make sense or is being artificially inflated...

Can’t see why anyone would dislike James McClean. Personally think it’s refreshing to see someone who stands by their beliefs and goes against the grain, and his shithouesery is entertaining.
