Saw Brix and the Extricated at Leeds recently. Made up of ex-members of The Fall. Played some of the oldies which Smith refuses to do so it was rather good.
When he briefly played for us Beardsley held the ball up well, was strong, but was pretty slow and always had his knee strapped up. I was amazed he went on to play so many games for Stevenage. He's now into the veteran stage. Mind you Mansfield seem to like immobile lumps up front (Rhead) so...

Well Cameron keeps telling us how well we're doing, and this is while we are still in the E.U. For me the country is ever more divided, but this isn't down to Europe, its down to our own politicians. Withdrawing would see us drift even further to the right, which is not something I would welcome.
I remember my first game back in the 70's. I remember the smell of liniment coming from the changing rooms, and the smell of cigarette smoke in the stand. Just smells basically.
