    Coronavirus

For NL, NLS and NLN clubs, it literally is as simple as that. Ollie Bayliss reporting on Twitter that it's the FA and the NL who determine whether their leagues are Elite or not. Let's hope for some common sense, there is very little of it about at the moment..

    Coronavirus

As a part time club, Stones don't pay players in pre-season, only when League matches start. So this impasse - whilst still damaging - may not be as damaging for us as it could be for others who have significant financial and contractual commitments.

    Coronavirus

It could be, but nobody really knows. I can imagine if cases spike to 50,000 a day then it will be for sure. But if they don't then there aren't many reasonable reasons not to allow fans back in.

    Coronavirus

The only glimmer of hope is the SAGE advice that transmission of the virus at outdoor sporting events is very low risk. Michael Gove even admitted so on TV this morning. But not appropriate to allow relatively large numbers of people (up to 1000) into football grounds at the very time further...

    Stickied Transfer Rumours 2024/25

Surprised to see Mauro Vilhete sign for Wingate and Finchley today. Played for Wealdstone on Tuesday night in a shambolic pre-season defeat to St Albans and thought he might feature again today.

    Stickied Transfer Rumours 2024/25

He lives in Hertfordshire and lost his driving licence so travelling is a challenge. He's also playing Sunday football for my mate's team in Stevenage.

    Stickied Transfer Rumours 2024/25

Made 17 first team appearances at Northampton, decent track record for an 18/19 year old.

    Pre-Season Friendlies!

Stones won 5-2 away at Hayes last night, goals from a trialist, Danny Parish, Charlee Hughes, Moses Emmanuel and Ross Lafayette. Sounds like all but a couple of the trialists have been released, I guess we'll find out soon whether Kundai Benyu has made the cut..

    Fixtures release thread

Pinching ourselves really when we see that fixture list. Opening home games against Chesterfield, Stockport and Wrexham in the space of 2 weeks. My god they're in for a shock when the see The Vale.. Whilst those 3 clubs were enjoying the 2nd and 3rd tier of English football, we were scrapping...

    Pre-Season Friendlies!

I think we're going to see some arrivals and a couple of last season's title winners pushed down the pecking order. Still a month to go until the big kick off so plenty of time to get things right. Kundai Benyu played again and showed glimpses of what he might be able to offer in the middle of...

    Pre-Season Friendlies!

Stones lost 0-3 at home to Luton's first team. Harry Isted played in goal and appears to be heading to the Stones on loan for the season from Luton, after their manager effectively confirmed it in his post match interview. Former Celtic midfielder Kundai Benyu looks to have been a trialist in...

    2020/21 Squad Updates

Charlton have pulled out of a deal for Dennon Lewis, so he's now back at the Stones and staying (unless another EFL club make a bid). Rumour on Twitter that Barnet are interested in our right back Michee Efete. However, he's on contract, attracting interest from the EFL and a fee would be required.

2019/20 shan off the gaffa race

Investing in facilities does then make sense, but it doesn't make sense to build white elephant stands for a club who struggle to get 1,000 home fans in the ground. Unless his strategy for the stadium is beyond Barnet FC?

2019/20 shan off the gaffa race

What about the millions in the bank from the sale of Underhill?

2019/20 shan off the gaffa race

And good of TK to ramp up the pressure on your new manager, by linking his investment in the budget to selling season tickets. £800,000 playing budget but ONLY if you sell 2,000 season tickets. He's deluded. I doubt if you'll sell half of that number (and if you did, that would be impressive)...

    Stickied Transfer Rumours 2024/25

Not sure Efete will; not many League 2 clubs willing to pay a transfer fee for a non-league right back. I'm sure he'll be disappointed with that, but I imagine he'll be back at the Stones.
