For you Wombles, just thought you might be interested to hear there were only 321 MK fans at Gillingham yesterday, embarrassingly low for a team going for automatic promotion and less than 2 hours drive away. They were very quiet and were finally stirred into life by the Rainham End singing...
321 MK fans at Gillingham, very poor for a team going for automatic promotion and under 2 hours drive away. We took over 1,000 to their place earlier in season.
I thought MK were poor for a team challenging for automatic promotion. Going forward they looked ok, but their defence and goalkeeper particularly were very dodgy. In fact the result could have been worse for MK had Cody's screamer hadn't come back off the post.
Well done Gills, onwards and upwards.
There use to be an 'away attendances' website, but when I found it, it still had season 2013-14 results up there and there's nothing for this season. Anyone know where I can find them this year?
I'm amazed that you're expecting MK to only bring 300 fans. We took nearly that many to Peterborough on Tuesday and it was a night game, and further travelling time, and you're in with a great chance of automatic promotion, we're not, where's the passion? I think we took 600 or more to yours.
Well the way we've been playing lately, 4 wins and 2 draws from the last 6, I'm thinking we can beat anyone in this league at the moment. However, I'd probably settle for a draw at this stage.
How many MK fans are expected?
Great result and noise from the Gills fans, I guess there were about 300 of us, but I can't remember going to an away game where the home fans were so quiet. Even after they equalised, I expected at least a chorus of 'You're not singing any more', but there was nothing apart from a big drum...
Yes, I'm going, really looking forward to it now we're on an unbeaten run of 5. Don't know if any Posh fans can tell me where's best to park/eat/drink etc?
Why don't you go by car, with a nominated driver who doesn't get pissed. That's what we four do, as will be at Posh next Tuesday night. £10 on petrol and £50 on lemonade.
Not sure what to expect from Sheff U, brilliant in the cups (until PNE the other night), not so consistent in the league. We've gone four without defeat at the moment, which is amazing considering our pre Christmas form. Hope for a win, settle for a draw.
Yes there is a thread, keep scrolling down, about 13 replies last time I looked. The kick off was put back to Sunday because we played on Thursday night. And the 6pm kick off is because they have a market at the ground every Sunday afternoon.
I'd love to see Darlo climb back up the leagues. My first ever away game my Dad took me to was at Feethams back in the 70's, because my uncle lived in Middlesbrough. I'll watch your progress with interest and wish you all the best.
I was amazed by the 169 that travelled, I honestly thought the record low of 78 that went to Hartlepool a few years back on a cold windy Tuesday night would be broken, considering the circumstances. Fair play to all, you must be mad.
