    Right 'Ammerings

After our 6-0 thumping at home against Yeovil (possibly the worst performance by a Newport County team I have ever witnessed (and that's going it some), I'd be interested in hearing about what the worst performance and, or heaviest defeat you've ever witnessed when following your team? It might...

    Newport v Yeovil

One of those freak games where one team gets absolutely everything wrong and the other team gets it all right. Yeovil are a strong, well-organised side with bags of pace up front and, on Saturday Way got his tactics against us absolutely spot on. They completely outfought and overran us in...

    Latics v Newport

Keep squeezing out 1-0 wins like that and we'll stay up this season. Flynn is working miracles with a squad that is good on quality but we'll see what the strength in depth is like when the injuries kick in. Oldham looked ok but failed to take their chances. Old Zeus De Let Paz.. great name...

    OldPort Vale v NewPort County

As a Newport County fan I am embarrassed by our good luck and that we are piss poor and apologise to Port Vale and football fans in general for the fact that we are second in the table on a shoestring budget. It won't happen again. I will be writing to the EFL recommending that the referee...

    Saturday 25th Matchday Thread

You have to appeal that one surely? Having had a look at the highlights it looked much less clear cut than it did live.

'Least sporting' ? It's professional sport not a tea dance ;) (I have no idea what a 'tea dance' is) Three points closer to safety. The Mighty Flynn does it again. We seem to be able to hang on to one goal leads and even nick goals at the end of matches. Unprecedented. ;)

    Newport v FGR take 2 Tue 6/3

Mad game ... 3-3 a fair result. Oh for a decent defensive midfielder and better service to Hayes and Amond. Oh well, on a bottom three budget comfortable mid-table is a lot better than last year's skin of the teeth antics and it will be really interesting to see what we do with the FA Cup money...

900 tickets sold for County versus Swindon. (What a shit away day experience squeezing us through just TWO turnstiles ... for £23)

Notts v Newport, two thirds of the NCFC league

Lower league referee makes bad decision. Nothing to see here. It's annoying but those type of decisions work in our favour too. We lost, it's not the end of the world. We are a mid-table side this season and I doubt whether this result will alter that fact in the long run.

    Crewe Alex v Newport

Artell was happier than Flynn and rightfully so. We should have put that one to bed and it was two points dropped and Crewe scrapped for their point. Neither side took the chances they had. I didn't think it was a second yellow card from where I was sitting until I saw the TV highlights, Ng was...

    Crewe Alex v Newport

Hah, 'Ironsides' ... we got that nickname because Newport was the home of Lysaght's Orb Steelworks but that was demolished to make way for 550 homes, just like our old Somerton Park ground was demolished to build a housing estate. Ironsides is even less relevant than Exiles (which I never...

    Crewe Alex v Newport

We are still skint (Bottom 5 budget) so no change there, but there is a bit of a feel-good factor under Mike Flynn. We seem to have picked up from where we left off and momentum is a wonderful thing. Who knows where this will take us with a new Desso pitch and a bit of belief in a squad that...

    NCFC Derby (Notts v Newport)

Wezzer was banging on in the local press about being up with the playoff chasing group by Christmas to general astonishment and mirth. You cannot help but like the brass balls of the man. Win our game in hand on Tuesday and we will be moving well clear of the bottom although to be fair I haven't...

Graham Westley and his POTATO FIELD (Newport County) v Carlisle United

Wezzer has worked his magic. Five games unbeaten and, like some of the Carlisle fans I am not surprised. He'll keep us up (unless we are relegated for having a sub-standard pitch )

He's quite angry isn't he! Is he 15?

Graham Westley and his POTATO FIELD (Newport County) v Carlisle United

We must have them rattled if we are getting gratuitously twattish comments like this. Who has rattled this rusty cage? Let's keep it pleasant shall we Carver?

Graham Westley and his POTATO FIELD (Newport County) v Carlisle United

We are now four games unbeaten. Wezzer's effect on the squad has been remarkable. The pitch was looking interesting and it's going to rain on Saturday. I smell an upset.

The big fat FA cup thread - B team free zone

Wouldn't argue with any of that. We are poor and carry way too many light-weight players who wouldn't be out of place in Confernce North. Wezzer has got his work cut out. Neither side did enough to win it yesterday with our dire home form, you may still be in with a good shout. BTW it wasn't...
