As someone with zero experience, he would unquestionably have commanded the least wage out of any of the other candidates (all already in or having been in managerial roles). He is a 5th choice league one centre half. I doubt he currently earns more than £2k a week.

He needs a couple of quick wins to silence the unrest in the stands. Can't help but feel though that he'll always be just a few consecutive defeats away from a negative crowd reaction. Worst case, if he can't halt the present decline then i can't see him surviving the season and we'll be back...
