They've just signed one of the worlds best players because they have one of the worlds best coaches. Another signing or two and top four could well be a cert.
[Replaces identical thread in PL forum]
Has to be Millwall and probably Middlesbrough automatic. Villa or Leeds to win the playoffs. Derby to be leading the division until March then lose to Scunthorpe in the other play-off.
After an interesting question on a thread in another sub-forum.....
Why do you support who you support?
For me, I was born near Wolverhampton and then spent the next three years living in Newhampton Road just a few hundred yards from the Molineux. Of course the world was all black and white in...
I work half way up a mountain in a rainforest, so I'll be doing not much more than work - other than get very wet.
I'm not really into cricket as I don't know much about sandpaper. Hate F1 despite once working in it for a few years.
Ashton Gate has been rebuilt so haven't got the webcam to...
Rather than the media stories of transfers, as reported avidly in the Transfers, who should stay and who should go? Who would you credibly sign from one of this season's Championship sides? (It's unrealistic to consider Neves or Sessegnon, probably)
For Wolves, no matter the stand-out...
Gone to Warnock.
Personally, I think Warnock, Bruce and Nuno don't deserve it as much as Lee Johnson or Neil Harris. Or Chris Wilder. They've created top half, play-off chasing teams out of what - at face value - don't look like spectacular quads.
However, Warnock certainly deserves it more...
Fuck me that was an awful result against Fulham.
There has to be some changes.....starting with Ruddy who was all at sea most of the game, punching the ball every which way, hoofing it into the stands, never knowingly commanding the box...
Norris
Batth - Coady - Boly
Doherty - Saiss -...
I reckon Nuno has to shake things up. The team has become stale and predictable. Norwich and Preston - both solid sides - got the measure of us and we looked flimsy at the back. Fulham are, with respect to those two teams, a whole different level, and I can't see us even getting a point here...
If they opened the window for one day, who would you sign right now to "complete" your team? (Or start it, in Sunderland's case)
For me, Ollie Watkins: even before last night's performance he has looked sharp. But I'd happily steal Maupay as well.
Reckon Brentford could creep into the...
Stoked for first game of the season (I work in the jungle, the mighty jungle, lion sleeps tonight....) and will bring my flu and green phlegm to Molineux. Long time since I sat in the Steve Bull Lower though. It's a shit stand which is why we used to give it to the away fans.
Would love to see...
Tough one to predict. Expensively assembled team, a few classy foreign prima-donnas but playing great football, in-form, good run of results. And they're next up at Wolves.
Once again, work prevents me travelling up the A34, so I'll have to settle with watching it on Sky with the Mikey Burrows...
Top versus third, second versus fourth. Good night's Championship football.
Would be nice to see Leeds turn over Wanknock. Especially as I think Sheff Utd might do one on us too.
As long as Our secondthird-favourite Leon doesn't score against us. Which he will. If we got Palace in the Cup...
So who's going to be the surprise package this coming season (other than your club, of course, who have the best goalkeeper not called Keiren, the best defence, manager, striker, fans, pies, programmes, car park, yawn)?
And the surprisingly shit team?
Despite having tipped Bolton to go back...
Would have thought the marketing opportunity for creatively using numbered ping-pong balls in Thailand was immense. Can think of few things more important to the fans of League clubs than the League Cup.
Maybe a bit of a variation on the 'Best Championship ground' thread but what's the most hospitable ground you've been to? Obvs not all are Championship.
For me, in recent years, the 'best grounds' in terms of a mixture of facilities, welcome, friendliness.....
1) Swindon.....brilliant the way...
I thought I'd start a thread for people who are into incest and that kind of stuff. Never appealed to me at all, but I know that it brings a great deal of pleasure to some people.
If you are into sleeping with close relatives...sisters, parents, maybe even pets....just identify yourself with a...
This will be a fascinating game, with everything to play for. If we count those in Asda and in the Asda car park and those who have been in the Asda car park or Asda or at the Asda cashpoint, then the gate today could be in excess of 700.
This will be end to end stuff and the game highlight...
