Think that comes across a lot fairer. We were more clinical than you, as you say, but not necessarily clinical in a general sense.
You were narrow in the first half and we managed to expose that at the time. It definitely did shift early second half. I remember one of our defenders going down...
I think we're all happy to say it was even. The other Oxford poster was claiming we were ordinary and clinical. That it should have been comfortable for you. Implying that we didn't have any other chances.
We had more passes and possession in the first half. Got ahead second half and the way...
Yeah agreed. Think top half would be decent.
I think a lot of the defensive issues are caused by the high press. A couple of good passes through that buys a lot of space and leaves us exposed. But at least we're getting points while we see the issues though!
Not sure about that. Sheehan should have put us ahead. Doyle and Lee could have had us out of sight. It was a very even game on chances, especially given your goal was a pretty clear handball.
Feel we controlled the game first half, with you looking for long balls in behind. You came and...
Feel like we edged it slightly, but a draw wasn't unfair really either. Both teams did okay going forwards and looked shaky at the back. Ref let MK go down with no contact all game, which didn't help as it was quite an intense game at times.
Gilks either needs to get up to speed or be dropped...
I don't think he was particularly blamed, Comley was picked out more by the fans. Feel like he was unlucky with the fact no-one else seemed to know the system. He often collected the ball from a CB, ended up twisting and turning looking for a pass and being dispossessed. We were generally just...
It was definitely a change in shape, but it allowed him to have a back 3 too. MJ definitely offered that 3 CB cover. Think it worked really well as early on we just didn't have the midfield.
Yeah I think they will leave too. I could see Cannon signing, he seems the opposite to Sheehan on that...
Yeah, there has been some talk of Cannon signing, but like you say we potentially have 6. Crawford currently too. We probably need a #10 to compete with Sarce though. Also in that list I don't really see an MJ alternative.
Some quite good comments for Sheehan on the Newport forum.
Yeah he's definitely not going to help with that...
It is a bit of a concern, particularly from set pieces and stepping up a level. We didn't really cut out chances for the opposition, even when we tightened up.
Evatt loves to retain the ball, so he probably suits us in that regard to be honest. A Bolton twitter page did an analysis on him as a potential target and his forward passing looks fine. Doesn't seem to force it forward but will be quite accurate when he does.
I'm quite optimistic about the recruitment. Couple of articles in the BN with Chris Markham. We have a plan, budget and are making progress.
I think Wednesday may not have fallen as far as they will. They don't sound like they are in great shape and had loads leave. When you do that you end up...
Yeah I just wanted to give a bit of balance. I doubt we were ahead to be honest, so you're probably right.
Yeah I'm quite happy for us to work on a foundation. If we jumped straight through the gap is huge from here to the championship. Teams will probably be paying 10-15x more in wages, if not...
I'd have probably taken 3rd at the start of the season, definitely in Jan. Getting out of the league was more important than anything else.
As a lot of rival fans told us pre-season, other clubs have got stuck down here. 4 years for Portsmouth in similar circumstances.
Agree with both. If either had started a game or 2 in our busy period it would have been more understandable. But there doesn't seem like they had the trust to keep the same standard we were playing at.
Most of the others you mention are now looking like league 2 players. Think Crawford could...
Shaun Miller, Arthur Gnahoua, Sonny Graham, Callum King-Harmes, Muhammadu Faal, Jak Hickman and Jamie Mascoll will officially depart the University of Bolton Stadium at the end of June while second year scholars Markus Assarsson and Nathan Whalley will also leave.
Loan players Billy Crellin...
