Is there a fire drill chant was maybe insensitive with hindsight but it had nothing to do with events of 30 years ago. Rarely do we see a ground empty like Valley Parade did yesterday when our 4th went in so it was a light hearted dig and nothing more.
After Tuesday most people expect us to lose this one but when expectations are low we're always decent. Maybe a bit hungover to win but I think we'll bring a point home.
I must check my facts more closely, particularly as I was at both those games.
As I was saying we're hopeless on the road having lost our last two straight so this looks like a home banker to me. :bg:
Most people in the ground could see there was a gulf between the teams that day... but that was back in October last year. You have a new manager and your starting XI at Kingsmeadow contained only 5 players that lined up for you at Crawley on Saturday. With all these changes its a bit odd to see...
Taylor and Murphy will have had a week training together (minus a day on the piss at Cheltenham), they looked promising at Morecambe so if they click that 4-0 could be a winner. Much more likely we'll get ourselves ahead, blow umpteen decent chances to win the game by a bucketfull and then...
Gave Morecambe a bit of grief for their ticket prices so a bit of credit also that they let under 14's in for free, £21 for me and my lad was good value (if you ignore events on the pitch).
I haven't seen the attendance figure but it looked as bad as Barnet. If that's a standard home turnout I...
Expecting about 180 of us which will be our worst turn out since midweek at Accy. Ticketing decision is poor as is the failure to respond to an email from the chair of our supporters club raising his concerns. Hopefully the game will be better than the atmosphere.
Will be a poor turnout from us, probably under 300 if Northampton (376) is anything to go by.
What state is your pitch in Gasheads? If it's decent we'll be in for a good game. I'm going for a score draw.
I was next to the Barnet fans in the main stand, there was a brief chant of Milton Keynes from a few knobs, we get it most places but generally from a small number, the majority of football fans know the story and can't bring themselves to chant about franchise even to wind us up. Good...
Sweeney is fit for selection so a similar line up to last week is on the cards. Over 4 months since our last defeat on the road means we have to travel in confident mood. Looking forward to seeing Barnet's new home and a decent game.
Hmmm, bet you thought Exeter had the worst away terrace in the league. The good news is if Luton lose you won't see much of it :bg:
Should be a good game, most likely a few goals and a point each.
Thoroughly enjoyed my first trip to the Abbey, good old fashioned football ground and pretty full. 669 was a decent turnout and I bet every single womble was glad they made the journey. Away end is good for making noise, shame about that gap between the stand and the goal, an equal gap at both...
Our travelling numbers have been a bit down this season, probably due to some of the crap we’ve served up at home. We had 250 at Newport and 315 down in Exeter so I’d guess about 450-500 will make the journey.
Our defence has been excellent lately but we haven’t been creating enough up the other end so I’m going for a low scoring draw. Tom Elliot will start alongside Lyle Taylor, he hasn’t had many chances this season but he did well at Exeter and will keep his place against his old club. With Bayo...
