RefWatch; Ref for Shrimps game is Geoff Eltringham, 38, from County Durham. FL ref since 2009. Had trials as a keeper but is teeny tiny & was shit, so became a ref. Sales rep for a Sunderland timber firm, so he is well used to showing strangers his huge wood. Massive Sunderland fan, but gave up his season ticket to ref full time, a very clever move. Romantic type too - says he proposed to his girlfriend whilst eating cheese. Wow, I think it's Feta say this guys a bit Emmental.

Says Howard Webb is the 'perfect referee'. Perfect ref, eh? Well, for me that would have to be a mixture of the huge sweaty wobbling buttocks of Brendan Malone; the insane brain of Trevor Kettle; the lady repelling body odour & goatee of Jeff Winter; the high pitched eunuch screech of Ross Joyce; the Hitler-like card flourishing of Attwell and the zombie-like charm of Deadman. Christ, who needs online porn, that Frankenstein ref is so beautifully erotic, my brain is having a little mental wank.

Reffed Wombles twice; 1-1 draw with Shots back in '12 (2Y), and the 2-0 away loss to Bury in April '15 (2Y). Reffed Mediocre Morecambe 7 times ( W3 D1 L3, 7Y & 1R), most recently the 4-2 home defeat by Doomed Daggers in November. Hates the scum. Reffed them once and they lost. Good. Hates them. Home win % is 50%. In 31 games he has given 80 Y & 6 R - high.

AnagramWatch; Geoff Eltringham = Enema Frog Fright. Feral Gnome Fight.
KettleWatch; 4th Official at Millers v Derby, so will be getting sweared at all day by Neil Warnock, another lovely image.

"Can't see many away fans making the trip" - not helped by Morecambe closing the £17 away end and forcing us into the £21 away seats yet again. Lucky we didn't do that to Accrington's 89 supporters last week eh ? Or Morecambe when they played at our place.

Our squad is threadbare at the moment. We are hoping to get a loanee in today and another tues. I don't have a great feeling about this game.
I will go for a 1 all draw but given our record against Morecambe Im not confident.

This is a big bare of mine and it's something we do too - close the cheaper terrace and keep the more expensive seats open so away fans are squeezed for every penny they have. Not on really.

Why pay stewarding costs for two nearly empty stands when you can open one and make more money? Simple choice for a *business* to make

Not necessarily. Loss of goodwill, fewer repeat visits, reduced catering revenue etc all need to be factored in. If they said we could sit for £17 more would definitely be going and they may not actually lose income overall anyway and wouldn't be regarded as profiteers into the bargain. Win, win. £4 may not sound a lot but it basically tells away fans to feck off, so rather than trek over there people find better things to do.

I'll be happy with a draw from this game.

Not making the journey, due to being forced into the seats. Not been since the 1st season we played there. Maybe we should start doing the same when clubs with a small following come to Kingsmeadow...........make them all sit in the more expensive seating.

Expecting about 180 of us which will be our worst turn out since midweek at Accy. Ticketing decision is poor as is the failure to respond to an email from the chair of our supporters club raising his concerns. Hopefully the game will be better than the atmosphere.

I don't think there's much of an issue here, I'm certain Morecambe only open the terrace when expecting a big following or when the seating section is sold out. I guess it's similar to our away end - terracing only sold to away fans when they sell out the whole seating area.
I'm not surprised when they're getting sub-2000 gates.

Don't fear Wombles, you looked a good team in midweek and should come away with 3 points against the shrimps in dire form

Here's hoping. They mullered us at KM earlier on in the season.

Looks like I was being ambitious saying I'd take a point.
8 defeats and 2 draws in their last 10 games.

Gave Morecambe a bit of grief for their ticket prices so a bit of credit also that they let under 14's in for free, £21 for me and my lad was good value (if you ignore events on the pitch).

I haven't seen the attendance figure but it looked as bad as Barnet. If that's a standard home turnout I wish Morecambe luck in finding a buyer.
