Barry Murphy has got this young Cardiff team playing decent stuff. Can't see them keeping all three of Salech, Colwill, and Robinson though. Could potentially lose all three.
We'll be ending our pre-season against Man City U21s & Chelsea's first team behind closed doors. Back-to-back games, with a different XI at each.
Definitely seems a more intense pre-season than under Ryan Lowe. Hopefully it pays off in terms of fitness levels.
Not a chance we were in for Dalby. Never a Championship player, not even sure he's good enough for L1. Wrexham didn't think so.
We also never bid for Erhahon, but he's the only player you've signed this summer that would have interested a Championship club.
LIke I've said many times, you're...
The guy on PNE Online is reliable and claims we're still trying for Lang. If Pompey hold out for a high fee then we won't get him, but if he pushes for a move back up north we might have a chance. I'd guess £2.5m-£3m will be our maximum offer.
Never seen any strong rumours about Erhahon but...
Yep. Andrija Vukcevic signs after his two week trial. 3 year deal surprisingly.
Montenegro international left back. Proper journeyman, spent time in Spain, Croatia, Belgium, Serbia, and Mexico.
Cant see him being a first team regular but I guess we'll see.
Linked to him by shit websites, but no way we were signing another DM/ deep midfielder, not unless Whiteman leaves, which is unlikely, we've got 4 on the books.
Only looking at signing a LB and a ST until we sell someone. Looks like a deal for the Montenegro LB is done.
Keep trying though...
Surely Cardiff don't keep Salech & Robinson? That'd be as good an attack as there's been at this level.
Wintle, Willock, Robertson, and Colwill would also be a seriously good midfield.
Did you not notice the '?' in my post you senile, old dickhead? Your local reporter, Marc Iles or whatever was reporting on it.
Even you're not dumb enough to read into behind-closed-doors friendlies, surely? As it stands, Will Keane walks into your team.
Very good in his first season. Good poacher, hard working.
Then got injured last year, came back, and seemed like his legs had gone, too easily pushed off the ball as well. Probably still has the movement if you create chances, but wouldn't expect him to replicate his Wigan form.
Yeah. Seems a decent enough No. 2 on paper.
Michael Smith also signed on a free from Sheff Wednesday. 2yr deal. Replaces Ched Evans as the experienced, physical, targetman option. His numbers were surprisingly good last season, so I've warmed to the signing a bit.
Looks like we've managed to shift Will Keane to Bolton. Looked like his legs had gone when he came back from injury last season, so definitely needs to drop a division.
