1 Point in 7 v 2 Wins in 8 (Morecambe v Carlisle)

1400 or so Cumbrians will be heading to Morecambe this weekend for another important fixture in our push for the playoffs. I'd like to think we're able to beat them on their current winless run, but as the title suggests we are on a poor run of form too.

Morecambe looked a decent outfit in there win at Brunton Park earlier this season, but they've not improved since then, and I think they are better suited to away games.

As for this game, we'll be without 1st choice 'keeper Gillespie through suspension, so Hanford will return for his first league start this term. It sounded like an improved performance at Wimbledon midweek, so I hope we can put in a good performance and take the 3 points.

We had to beat Wimbledon and we didn't so that's the play offs over for us, the only quality players we have in our squad are Jabo and Grainger the rest are shit, not good enough to make us a top 7 team. Oh and right now we can't even go 2 games without someone getting sent off.

The subs changed it for us, but we had some glorious chances before.

If we are to find our way back into the playoff chase, one of the reasons would be that we do have a strong bench. I'm sure some clubs in this division would love to have the likes of Joyce, Hery and Asamoah ready to come on.

Fantastic final 10 minutes!

Atrocious 1st half but in complete control in the 2nd. It felt as if we were never going to catch a break, but got a definite penalty which spurred us on to snatch the 3 points.
Asamoah and Hery had a great influence I thought, whilst Hope had a very poor game.

I was half expecting the referee to give a free kick when Wyke went into Roche, but thankfully he didn't - correct decision in my opinion. I thought the ref was poor today, seemed reluctant to give fouls/cards and did nothing to stop the Morecambe time-wasting.

Look at the guy behind the goal who falls over the wall when Wyke scored. That's got to hurt! I was stood just behind that incident, saw him go over but hadn't realised he'd landed on his head!

Comfortably Héry's haircut to be fair, although that isn't saying much about what was also a poor penalty decision. We deserve a bad decision our favour every now and then though.

From the away end it was a certain penalty, defender's hands were all over Wyke. It was a stupid penalty to give away as I doubt we'd have scored from open play.
