Probably worth baring in mind that of the actual Liverpool/Everton fans on Merseyside, there's probably tons of them with a replica Barca shirt who'd wank themselves silly over a trip to the Camp Nou to see a Copa Del Rey tie with UD Llagostera.

You really don't need to pretend you're on a windup every time you make yourself look a bit of a tit.

TBH i'm not bothered by foreigners supporting an English team. They usually do it because their league is crappy (not their fault) and so decide to support an English team (and the BPL probably gets more coverage then their own league TBH) . Most of them stay loyal, which is what most people forget, and consequently people forget there are plenty of glory supporters in this country.

What is annoying is that, although our league is shit, it still gets plenty coverage so that I can rarely watch an early kick-off PL match on our TV.

Not quite the point I was really getting at. More that most football fans have some interest in teams in the bigger picture, and that's absolutely fine.

For some it may mean popping off to watch Southport once in a while, for others it may mean Celtic or Dortmund or whoever they fancy. The same is true in reverse, lots of clubs have foreign fans that turn up. AFC Wimbledon have some, and I'm sure everyone in between Wimbledon, Liverpool and the five or six sides above them does too.

Must be an Everton thing then, as i said me and the regulars i go with only watch us and have no interest in being oot's to other clubs. I feel for my red mates they just don't go and the few who do are constantly arguing with oot's at the game. I did watch Liverpool away once while at a stag weekend in London and most of the Liverpool fans were definately not from the north west never mind the city.

It would drive me mad if my club lost its soul. And if it was a choice of success or soul there is simply only one answer.......soul!

City fans used to say the very same thing. Until it actually became a viable choice, that is.

This is so absurd.

So because you were born in a city with a big football club, two in fact, you're more entitled to good football, decent coverage and top class players than me? The first time I went to Anfield meant the world to me, when I grew up my local team wasn't even professional. I still went to the games, I still pay for my season ticket, but despite being Swedish and not having a north western accent I like watching football that isn't shit, as well.

You're not entitled to shit. You are very lucky, and you should consider yourself blessed, having been born where there's top class football. But don't judge the ones who weren't as if you're better than us. You're not.

Don't see how you can be proud of your club's soul if the soul is not attracting anyone outside your own region despite playing on the biggest stage in the world.

Kids being born in Liverpool these days will obviously have the option of supporting Manchester United or Manchester CIty if they want to watch top class Champions League football.

By your own logic it means that most of your team cannot possibly show "soul" because they're foreign and "oot"? Remind me again, how many scousers do Everton have in their first team squad?

If that's the case, the 40 thousand fans you pull in every other week must deserve a medal if they can somehow muster the soul, but the players simply can't by your own recognition.

You seem very happy to put fans down who aren't from Liverpool, but have no shame in getting behind your players who aren't from Liverpool. Hypocrisy at its best, congratulations. :pond:

There's more scousers in our first team squad than yours at the moment! I know that has nothing to do with the point you were making but I felt compelled to point that out after reading your post.
