——————————

Bluebirds at home and a great chance for us to close the gap on the top three.

Barrow, however, haven’t won at Valley Parade since Feb 1965. They’re in poor form at the minute, too. What could go wrong?

Derbyshire went off injured on Tuesday night - set to have a scan today, but likely to miss the game at the weekend.

Critchlow still injured, but his replacement Sam Stubbs has been exceptional thus far.

GK: Harry Lewis

RB: Brad Halliday
CB: Matt Platt
CB: Sam Stubbs
LB: Liam Ridehalgh

CM: Adam Clayton
CM: Alex Gilliead
CM: Ritchie Smallwood

AM: Jamie Walker

ST: Andy Cook
ST: Abo Eisa

3-1 City

That man Andy Cook x3

Rochdale away another massive game for us and a chance to pick up another 3 points.

My 1st ever trip to Dale, if we play like we did 2nd half vs Grimsby we will have a great chance of picking up 3 points.

Dale 0 - 2 Gills

Sutton away, for 70 minutes they outplayed us at the EcoMoat then blew a gasket, looked out on their arses and we scored two injury time goals to take all 3 points. I’m hoping they are really smarting about it and have themselves that wound up they blow a gasket before they leave the dressing room otherwise we are in for a post valentine shagging

Colchester at home

We need a reaction from Tuesdays shit show, the worst performance of the season (by some distance). It feels like we’re at a crossroads in our season. a bounce back result could kick start us, or we could go the other way with another inept defeat and really begin to do the Carlisle thing and collapse
Iike a building demolition job.

Defensively Tuesday could be looked as a one off, but at the other end it was the third game in a row where not only have we not scored a goal, but haven’t even looked close to scoring one. We are toothless and that’s the massive concern.

So will it be reaction or repeat? Unfortunately I’ve seen nothing in our performances to suggest things are going to improve. I’m afraid I can only see a repeat.

Carlisle United 0-2 Colchester

The “blip” continues.

Hartlepool at home. They are a bit shit but we can't score. Another 0-0.

Nah, 2-3 nil to yous

Another team just chugging along, semi out of sorts, we'll give them a little booster.

Not that I think he's the answer but if Clarke isn't partnering Umerah then Curle can go take a running jump.

I'd rather have Hamilton up there, Jennings looks willing but limited, Curle doesn't trust Grey, Leon Clarke is a ridiculousy shit signing. Embarrassment of riches, eh?

Great chance to start to pull away from the bottom 2 this weekend, Crawley have an away game at the leaders and Hartlepool go to a hard to beat Wimbledon. A win for us at Rochdale would be great and could take us another spot up the table depending on Harrogate failing to beat Crewe.

We were really good second half against Grimsby, decent tempo and looked a threat. Follow that into Saturday and I think we won't lose at the least. Rochdale will look at the game as winnable from their point of view too, so hopefully they'll come out and try to win the game which probably will help a bit.

Think tired legs and Tranmere being strong at home will mean we’ll lose this one but hoping we can snatch a draw

I think you've sussed Jennings quickly and accurately there to be honest. He should have just stayed local at Alty in the NL in my opinion from his point of view, from Alty's point of view and from your point of view.

At home to Grimsby. A high probability that I will turn up at half time as its a 2pm KO.

We need to get back to winning ways desperately. We are not creating much at all at the moment and we have lost all momentum. Injuries, a lack of form and generally a lack of quality all hindering us.

Sadly Ben Fox is likely to be missing. He was fantastic on Tuesday but got injured putting in a big block, will be a huge blow as he has been getting better and better as the season has progressed.

Grimsby's form looks pretty ropey so im hoping that this is one we can be a bit more attacking in.

Hoping for a ropey 1-0 win to try and get some momentum back.

The first of our two Hampton trips in 17 days, this to the North one. We'll battle to a 1 goal defeat. Sold 900 in advance, I think (we don't get away ticket updates anymore)

Great away day is Dale. The Cemetery is a good boozer and the home fans are sound. Nice to have a covered side stand to yourself as well. Can’t half make a racket.

Some cracking pubs in town also, always a decent away day.

Hopefully they stop up and some crappy southern team goes down instead.

As for our game, Crawley are our bogey side. I shall say no more.
I sense an opportunity....an opportunity for our goal difference to take a hiding.

Even when we play well we can't keep a clean sheet

I expect to see Schofield in goal. Two mistakes leading to a goal in Tuesday and an error in the previous match as well means Addai should be getting splinters in his backside for a while.

Away at tranmere for mansfield.

Never seen us win there and don’t see it changing here, yet another injury with ollie clarke (who’s been in brilliant form) injured against carlisle) who will be questionable tomorrow.

The list is ridiculous and wonder if we’re cursed, expecting a loss but would snatch your hand off for a point now.

Always weary of playing teams on a poor run. That said, I think we'll win. 2-1 City.

Well I've just landed a job in Newcastle so I should get home in time to see Leon Clarke grace the Vic. No doubt ill need to bring a DBS check, blood test and a colonoscopy to get a ticket nowadays, oh well all worth it for a bit of the veteran in action.

Wellens has said the virus in the squad is still about and that some players haven't trained, Swindon fans will be unsuprised to learn that Jordan Lyden is now also injured it seems. Wellens taking the blame after putting him on Tuesday night when he was carrying a bit of an injury which has now been made worse.

The end of a packed fixture period for ourselves, hopefully no more midweek games until the full round of midweek fixtures in April.

Would expect one or two more changes, not expecting us to be at our best either after the schedule and injuries/illnesses picked up in the last ten days. I wouldn't be shocked to see a patched up side in places.

Our record at Field Mill is appalling but Mansfield's record at Prenton Park is almost as bad. I can just about remember their last win here in 1985.

We have a couple of injury doubts regarding key players, Morris and Turnbull, but if we are close to full strength we are capable of getting a result.

Morris will be a big loss if he’s out, as neither loanee youngster was able to fill his role adequately after he went off injured at Bradford. Hope that we look at a different formation to 442 if that is the case. Hard to see where the goals are coming from atm, got the same ref who presided over our 0-4 mauling by Forest Green last season which saw our promotion hopes unravel. Not been a better time for Mansfield to overcome their Prenton Park hoodoo.

I doubt it. Tranmere probably the worst team I've seen this season when they played us in midweek, they were truly shocking. We beat them without having to get out of 2nd gear

Another easy away win for you
