YOU CAN'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE CAN YOU, YOU BOYS?!

It has come to my attention that there may have been some form of foul play (i.e. discussion of whose song was whose and tactical voting) in the previous rounds. Therefore with that in mind, the last round of group matches will be posted in this thread. Here they are:

Agreed, although I've gone the other way as I don't class The Replacements as Punk.

More Alt/College Rock for me.

I've just seen this. Disappointing if true and bizzare why anyone would want to do that.

Probably explains why I am bottom of my group to be fair. ;)

It was queried by the poster who sent me it originally. Whilst they're definitely not out and out punk, they played with a lot of punk bands and were signed to a label that realesed a fair amount of punk. Also listed on Wiki as punk, so that those combined were good enough for me. You can certainly argue a good case for or against, but I did say that I would be relaxed on such decisions.

It's no issue at all SoC. Most of The Replacements stuff was Alt/College Rock, in Bastards of Young there is a definite punk element though, so can understand why you've allowed it. I'm sticking to my guns nonetheless :)

Some good songs here. Kudos to whoever chose Mack the Knife. One of my favourite songs. I do prefer the Bobby Darin version mind but still a great shout. Muddy Waters is a great shout also.

The 'Mats pick was me. And yeah, this is quite reasonable - as Cod alluded to, I did um and ah a bit over the choice. You could certainly call them a punk band in their early years, less so, admittedly, during their imperial phase. That said, even when they were becoming more closely associated with alt rock I think they did retain something of a punk aesthetic. Always going to be a bit of overlap with these things.

I lost anyway, tho Teenage Kicks is a tune

Great choice of song, and fine taste in music regardless TPP.
