Professor X edges this on paper with his D8 but how will the fight go? Wonder Woman and Professor X duke it out, with both managing to avoid the lava and the monster Kraid who tries to muscle in on the fight a bit himself. It looks like an even contest but the ground starts to move and shake which startles Professor X and Wonder Woman capitalizes by gaining the upper hand and throwing the good Professor into the lava below. Another win for NK!

Picking fight spots and entering characters

I posted something along this lines before the forum crash/wipe but here it is again.

This season you can’t make contingency plans such as “if this happens .... then do this, but if this happens ..... then do this” etc. You simply list the fights you want to enter in the thread (in order of priority) and then list one fighter per location in your PM (or of course 2 fighters if it’s a 2 vs 2).

The only kind of contingency plan you can make is by listing more fights than you can possibly enter in the thread, just in case a fight is full when the picking order gets to you. Be warned though, doing this might result in you ending up in more matches than you want to be in, particularly if you have a small roster.

Now with the 2nd example, the team are taking a risk because if both the USA and UK matches are not full when the picking order gets to them, the team will end up entering 3 matches with a roster of only 2 fighters and end up paying a £100K fine as a result.

It was unfortunately deadline deja-vu for former CHAVS Spire and Paul Haddock where as Harv enjoyed a different kind of deja-vu, winning a big bonus match as CHAVS so often managed last season.

It was a case of DOH! for DOH which to the relief of other teams meant no Stay Puft this week. TTT consolidated with 2 default wins but saw NK pull away with bigger gains in their contested matches. MLM will be disappointed to not pick up at least 1 win from the 2 contested matches they were in, with both being very close on paper.

NK are now in a very strong position and following up the successful use of Harv’s molehunter power with back to back HW wins, have already won an impressive amount of prize money – more than I expect any team to have won at this stage considering there has yet to be any bonus prize money added to matches yet!

Hope I'm not stepping on LR's toes too much here but since Oaf ran the last one I've had a few ideas about how Wars could run and was going to volunteer to run one in 6 months+ after this one ended if Oaf/LR didn't want to run another one. If people are happy with it I would be happy to reset this and start again this weekend replacing me with someone on Oaf's and Natch's team and starting fresh on Saturday.

I would need the base one from Oaf/LR but I have a few ideas for new characters and features so reckon it should only take a couple of days work to get it ready.

I'd be happy to do that as well but as it's only a week old it might be better to preserve Planet Defenders for LR when he's feeling like running a forum game again as he's put the time into this and he likes running forum games. It's up to people though. I'm happy to run a new one, continue this one or not run one whatever people think is the best option.
