Gold/Silver were the best in the series, not just because it had Johto and Kanto, as well as being the first game with the appeal of "oh my god, new Pokemon!". It improved on Red/Blue in so many ways (dat day/night cycle doe!) and was in that sweet spot between Pokemon feeling really new and fresh and the series starting to suffer from a bit of franchise fatigue.

I remember the day my brother and I bought a US copy or something of Pokemon Gold from the paper, we picked it up on the way to some family party or something. Spent the whole night ignoring everybody and playing that in a quiet corner, was an absolutely amazing night.

Also, Portal 2 is brilliant. I didn't know I wanted/needed a sequel to Portal, but after a couple minutes I was so happy they decided to do so.

Yeah. I'd have Bioshock Infinite a bit higher than FC3 personally, both they're both superb.

I loved the Bioshock games. Even 2, which wasn't anywhere near as good as the original or Infinite, I enjoyed.

I'll be doing a writeup for the top twenty along with the usual trailer/gameplay.

If I had done a list Skyrim would have come very high. So much to do and even after 100 hours in one save you feel nowhere close to completing everything.

Getting to the good part now, the last 10-15 games are ones i've played or wanted to play. Lots of the originals if I was honest i'd never heard of.

Still need to get round to playing Skyrim, been sitting unused on my Steam account for years now..

I loved Skyrim. The setting was perfect for me, and I could never quite get into Oblivion. Skyrim was quite high on my list. Great soundtrack too.

The last good Call of Duty. That and CoD4 had some of my most fun moments in gaming. Spent many a night after school playing those two. Search and Destroy, no stupid killstreaks that ruined CoD.

Convenient considering I have been playing that recently - More so for the mods anyway though since the online is kinda broken.

The last good Call of Duty.

I preferred Black Ops to WaW, again another game that just missed out on my list.

Been years since they produced any CoD up to the level of the Cod4-Black Ops period.

Final Fantasy IX
Released: February 16th 2001
Platforms: Playstation 1

Final Fantasy IX is a JRPG developed and published by Squaresoft (Now Square-Enix) for Sony's original Playstation. It was re-released on the Playstation Store in 2010. The game introduced new features to the series like the "Active Time Event", "Mognet", and a unique equipment and skill system.

Final Fantasy IX holds the highest rating of any Final Fantasy title on Metacritic.

Final Fantasy IX‍ 's plot centers on a war between nations. Players follow a young thief named Zidane Tribal, who joins with others to defeat Queen Brahne of Alexandria, the one responsible for starting the war. The plot shifts, however, when the characters realise that Brahne is working with an even more threatening person called Kuja.

Loved Bioshock infinite, the story and pretty setting in particular. Elizabeth was a cool character as well.

Thought the general gameplay and weapons/plasmids were quite bland though, one of the reasons I prefer the original bioshock

As I said before, AC2 definitely the best of the series. Great storyline and characters, all the different cities, enjoyed it so much more than Brotherhood or Revelations. I think it was better for having the different settings rather than just Rome and Constantinople.

The other cities thing was great, but for me Brotherhood still takes it.

Assassin's Creed 2, another one very high on my list. Such a great experience playing through that game. Completely grabbed me, after the 1st game wasn't that great. Similar to Mass Effect 2.

Assassin's Creed 3 was rubbish in comparison (although an alright game to play without any expectation). Haven't played 4 or Unity yet.

Oooo I do like these headers for the Top 20.

Assassins Creed 2 was one of mine too. My favourite of the series thus far. A huge improvement on the original, which was just far too repetitive. If they'd got 2 wrong, there's no way it'd have become the annual series it is today.

I also wish to comment on those snazzy graphics. They're good shit.

Yeah, I always think of Brotherhood as the best in the series as well. AC2 was superb and turned a pretty dull game into one that was among the best series in gaming, and then Brotherhood just seemed to polish it to perfection. The brotherhood stuff was great, the mission variety was the best it's ever been, it had the best main character, the best city in all of the AC games and just seemed to do everything that the already great AC2 did a little bit better.

Bioshock
Released: August 21st 2007
Platforms: Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC
Metacritic: 96/100 (PC highest rated)
Copies Sold: 4M (as of March 2010)

Developed by 2K Boston and published by 2K Games, Bioshock is an FPS with RPG elements set in the underwater city of Rapture. You take on the role of Jack who is the only survivor of a mysterious plane crash. Jack explores Rapture, fighting through hordes of ADAM infused humans, Big Daddies and even his own fate.

The player has plenty of weapons at his disposal, weapons such as a revolver, crossbow and even a grenade launcher. The user is also able to use the power of plasmids, which are concoctions that gave the player 'powers' through genetic mutations, or some bollocks like that. With these, the player is able to shoot lightning from their hands and even turn Bid Daddies against your enemies.

P.S Fuck off hacking minigame.
