Surprised Super Mario World is out so soon given how many people consider it to be the best 2D platformer of all time.

Too many Cards and Harv's of this world now, who never experienced these amazing games. People like them make me sick.

Well, at least 1FF'ers know that 3>1>2>4 is gospel when it comes to MGS games.

4 is like the Dark Knight Rises of the MGS franchise.

Speak for yourself, I loved MGS2, although MGS4 can stay last just for making you install it again each mission.

I don't hate MGS2 either, but 1 is a classic and three is the series' most original, interesting instalment.

FIFA 15, Res 5 and Far Cry 4 over Tomb Raider, Ico and Banjo Kazooie. Generation gap or are these people horrible c***?

Gangsters: Organized Crime was mine. Hugely enjoyable strategy set in 1920's Chicago like city. Get your crew to carry out heists and other crimes, set up illicit businesses all over the city and protect your patch and take out your enemies with an array of weaponry. Had a great save on it where I'd built up my small crew from bank robbers to run an empire of whore houses and speakeasies generating a healthy weekly income and coming to a tentative truce with the only remaining CPU gang left, the occasional turf war breaking out, couldn't take the bastard out though.

Probably the former. I can't imagine I'm older than many of the people who voted, but my list is quite heavily dominated by older games and 10/12 have gone already: of those that haven't, one was released relatively recently (2006) and the other is a modern series.

1>3>2>4 for me. 4 would be above 2 for me if not for the aforementioned reinstalling, and the fact that it's probably 60% cutscenes.

Surprised Arkham City finished higher tha Asylum. City and Origins are good, but I dont think either of them can touch the story and originality of Asylum. One of very few franchises where I think the first one was so good, it didnt need fixing.

Illusion of Gaia was mine, that was the other RPG I was alluding to earlier that wasnt Landstalker or Zelda! Expect more are familiar with Secret of Mana than Gaia.

Arkham Asylum hasn't even been out yet, Smudge. You been drinking.

Okay, so it wouldn't be a list without a farce would it?

Knew Id spotted it! I remembered being surprised, but you had me doubting myself then!

Ni No Kuni
The Secret of Monkey Island

Love all of the Monkey Island series. Can still remember the day I first played the Secret of Monkey Island on the Amiga. Brilliant brilliant game Ive grown up with.

Just started playing Ni No Kuni but not far enough into it yet to have a proper opinion on it!

I'd be interested to see what the minimum number of points needed for the top 50 is. It was around 20 for the books thread, but I'm guessing the bar might be lower here, as I think we've had fewer responses.

Been waiting ages for some of mine to turn up then 3 are in the 14 points section.

Had to have a FIFA on my list, and FIFA 11 was the best i've played. Think I put it 19th. Surprised FIFA 15 got votes earlier on though, probably the worst FIFA in 10 years.

I was very disappointed with Fifa 15, enjoyed 14/13 a lot more. Hope they improve it for 16, otherwise I might not bother and get madden instead - Lots more to do on there and have some alright promos.

I've spent the past couple of days re-playing Ratchet and Clank 3 (Up your Arsenal), my favourite installment in arguably my favourite gaming franchise.

I didn't vote for it but Pro Evolution Soccer 6/2006 is the best football game ever.
