I'm still more interested in the relegation dogfight than the top end of the table, but you'd have to say that Portsmouth v Derby has the makings of a proper banger, hopefully it should still be a capacity crowd even though it's on Sky.

Cheltenham, Burton and Vale will be the sides in the drop zone to keep an eye on, it looks like the relegation dogfight is going to go to the wire.

As for us, I don't necessarily expect us to get anything from Blackpool, right now our overall form is better than theirs, but they have a very good home record and a point will do us just fine. The key is to at least play well, put in a performance, and try and keep up team spirit and momentum going into the Tinpot Final next Sunday.

Hopefully Posh's confidence will have taken a knock today off the back of their result v BELEAGUERED Carlisle Utd.

Great win today but means nothing if we can't back it up on Monday. If we do beat Exeter it's very much back on though. If you'd told me back in October we'd be in this position heading into April I'd have a) bitten your hand off and b) laughed a lot, but here we are!

Not long ago, I had this down as one of our easier games on the run-in, but Carlisle seem to have found some form despite realistically having sod all to play for. With Erhahon back, we should be a bit more coherent. I reckon maybe Makama in for House as well, he just didn't look fully fit today.

Right now we are super determined to stop teams who are gunning for promotion. That is our sole purpose for the remainder of the season.

It's us who stand in your way of great things.

All our home and away games have been selling out pretty rapidly this season. Ground will be full and the atmosphere should be tasty.

I would say that we'd be ok with a draw given our situation but the team seem in a hurry to get the job done. Our record against the teams around us has been excellent this season.

I'd agree with Makama for House as he played the full 90 yesterday.
Mandriou was limping so Erahahon in for him.
Much tougher game now with a couple of decent results for Carlisle

Vale at home. They have picked up and should be bang up for it, our last two games we haven’t been on the beach at all so hopefully that will continue. A couple more knocks were picked up at the weekend so some more rotation required, getting bloody tiring.

Vale haven’t sold 400 yet which is absolutely dreadful, I get they’re all a bit down in the dumps up there but Christ almighty that’s poor.

Can see a 1-1 draw

Probably be a few who will pay on the gate as some will have wanted to see if the Burton game was just a false dawn (every chance it may still be). I’ll pick up a ticket at the ground Monday but was always going to as only live 15 mins away from Northampton.

Hard to say too much how the game will go. You should be the tougher test given Rovers look on countdown to their retained list. At least we’ve shown more intensity the last couple now and tighented up at the back with 3 clean sheets in 4. Take a point all day if could get it.

Sold out away end, so about 1,600 City fans, assume that's behind the goal and a little bit on the side? CTFCfan99 can confirm?

Would like to think we'll go there and get a win, but then its us & Cheltenham, and for some reason, games at Whaddon Road (will always call it that) go a bit mental. In all comps recently, I can think of a 3-1, 0-7, 5-3, 3-4.

Think we've sold around 500 tickets for Monday, hopefully the traffic will be kind.

Edit we sold around 600 before they went off advance sale

Oxford can do us a favour by beating us and (almost) confirming our relegation. Of course it's sods law they wont which quite honestly amounts cruelty and abuse......

Big game again, a point would be solid enough. A win would be incredible though and really give us a great chance to stay up.

If we can win one of the two away games this week then it sets up very nicely for the run in and those three very winnable home games.

Thought we were dead and buried but there is signs of life. Tricky place to go Cobblers and usually close games with these so see how it goes!

Yep, you'll have a couple of blocks down the side too. No idea why we've given you those - we've sold out all our seats and could easily have given them to our own fans and probably still sold out. Think those in charge have taken the safe option knowing you'd sell out, but it doesn't exactly help our cause.

Not sure what to expect from the game, as you say they've been a bit unpredictable at WR in recent years. We need to back up yesterday's win but also picked up a few knocks and the players are probably shattered from a massive effort on a boggy pitch.

Given we need it more (Exeter are all but safe realistically), I think we might edge it, but I could see any result in all honesty.

Away at Carlisle, a side who look like they're now playing with a bit of freedom with nothing to lose.

It was a tough game yesterday, I think the nature of a hard fought 90 minutes will have taken it out of both sets of players. Sorenson, Bishop and Mandroiu were all struggling towards the end of the game, House did well to last the full games so I'm not sure if he'll start again. Can't imagine Bishop doing so either but we have Erhahon back who was a huge miss yesterday.

Said on here earlier in the week that we'd need at least four points from from the weekend and we're on track but another win would be massive and make it an excellent Easter.

Said on the pod this week, I really can't pick a result for Monday. I honestly wouldn't be surprised with any of the possible outcomes.

The injuries picked up yesterday are a concern, but we have to want it more.

We have a lot of reason to play to win even if it is a total lost cause league wise.

we can either head into L2 a complete shower and continue our dreadful performances and form or sort the urselves out and head into L2 with a settled unit we can improve upon in the summer.

We know our manager for L2, we know our budget we no doubt already working on targets……..the advantages when so poor your down early.

We seem to now mostly be picking players here next season sticking to a settled formation and now trying to just get some more positive performances to end season with some confidence………..we ain’t like some midtable ‘on our holidays’ approach

Hope we can be up for this, still want us to finish as high up as possible and a few players should be looking at contracts for next season.
Will probably start the same side, as none of those who came on made a case for starting, though Sweenz again looked knackered and might have to give way to Diabate
Still think we are light on goals and I reckon this could be a 1-0 either way .

Ifollow for me though; been Cheltenham, done that.

Northampton took 500 to vale a couple of years ago when 3rd in the league 2 table now that is dreadful. Vale have won just 2 games out of the last 17 or something ridiculous like that. It's alot easier to pay watch your team when your doing well but Northampton don't even travel well when having a good season. Vales away support when having a relegation season like this one is better than Northamptons when they have a promotion season.

I think we'll take 5-600, which won't be too bad considering we've done Northampton a lot in recent years, we're still in terrible form, it's Bank Holiday Monday and Northampton is a bit of a shite away day.

If the roles were reversed, I'd imagine you'd struggle to sell 300.

It is a bit poor but understandable.

I'm working tonight, so me and my lad will be going and I'll have had absolutely no sleep at all given he's getting dropped off at mine at 7:30 in the morning. We get back around 7ish and I'm back in work again Monday night.

Highly doubt that. Rock bottom of L2 a few years ago with one of our worst ever sides we took 2,300 to Wycombe on Good Friday. Plus that 5-600 would still be less than what we fetched in the reverse fixture.

It’s a crap following, 1 point away from safety and 2 wins on the bounce. But it is what it is.

Tricky game against Peterborough, with our sqaud depleted with injuries anything against them will be a bonus, as we don't score enough goals as well and thats now catching up with us too. 1 goal in 5 games.

We'll make one or two changes, to freshen things up I'd have thought as well.

We’re a bit of a bogey side for Peterborough and there aren’t many teams we can say that about! In all honesty the season was done and dusted on Friday,l; our squad is exhausted & depleted and I think we’ll take our first proper shoeing of the campaign tomorrow.

I don't even support vale. I just know there away support is miles better than northamptons. You starting to sound like a derby fan only interested in talking about attendances than the actual game itself.

If you promise to give us the ball straight back after our inevitable inability to keep the ball, we’ll agree to a win. But you must promise many open goals.

There will absolutely be a golden opportunity at some point to take *something*.

Big game for the mighty U's today again v Wigan; win this and we are nearly safe, lose it and it will be much tighter, as I fully expect one or more of Vale, Cheltenham and Burton to get points today (Exeter and Cobblers are safe and may be relaxing on the beach, and Barnsley are totally lacking in confidence at the back although still very useful going forward)
Hoping for a good follow up to Friday's much improved performance...
