Ready to be proven wrong but I actually think we'll win this.

We've dominated possession in the last two home games without turning that into chances, I just feel if we can do the same again in terms of possession and territory on the pitch we will surely start creating chances.

If you're any good in the air at set pieces then we have a real problem as we cannot defend, our centre backs get beaten in the air too often and the rest of the side doesn't have much height, although Leutwiler is a brilliant shot stopper, he lacks confidence coming off his line especially after conceding a couple in such circumstances recently.

There is general negativity around the place at the moment anyway, if we go behind it will get very quiet and tetchy around the stadium with the odd boo and shout at Mr Mellon, we really need to take the lead in this game to erase some of that negativity and pessimism.

To be honest, if you read the first four words of my third paragragh and you're up to that standard, you'll probably win.

A part of me would take a defeat if it guaranteed the end of Mellon's time in charge. A very sad state of affairs to be in such a position but the club is going in only one direction whilst he remains in charge and change is required to arrest this decline.

Little STFC is in the same boat as big STFC, can't defend at set pieces and has a manager who is not popular ,like us we have a manager who is a coach, and is ridgely sticking to " POWER FOOTBALL".... pass sideways , pass back, pass sideways then lose the ball,
We have a asset stripping owner, who has sold our best players and replaced them with dross, Norris comes to mind, and youngsters Shrews to record a decent win and it will be just Coventry stopping us being bottom.
2-0 Shrews

Hoping for another Oldham but doubt it. Never given less of a shit about Swindon, something needs to change.

Which is the big STFC? You're in dreamland.

The only clean sheet we've kept all season was against hapless Coventry, and that was only because they were so woeful in front of goal in the first half rather than any fine defensive performance from us.

Town may win this, but you'll get very good odds on us keeping a clean sheet, and rightly so!

After seeing Norris a few more times I can confirm he's not very good. Had about half an hour to slot a one on one chance past the Bristol Rovers goalkeeper and hit it straight into his chest. Neat and tidy on the ball but doesn't offer much of a goal threat.

I haven't seen, or even listened to, today's game but it's been a disappointing week for Town with only two draws to show from two home games against out of form sides where four points should have been the minimum expected.

The match stats and report suggest we were probably second best again, just as we were against Posh on Tuesday evening.

The rot has been stopped in terms of home defeats but progress still isn't being made. I note another red card to add to an already bad early season disciplinary record. I don't know the details of why Deegan was sent off but I could hazard a fair guess!

Mellon will probably survive for longer with more spin coming out of the club about fine margins, but for me the sooner the Chairman bites the bullet the sooner we can arrest this decline and have a chance to turn it around.

The thread title is an apt summary of this game. Neither side deserved to win. Most exciting thing to happen was the helicopter landing on the pitch to deliver the match ball as part of the annual Armed Forces day at Shrewsbury

Uninspiring dross. We constantly have 3 or 4 players out, for whatever reasons, and that doesn't help with consistency. But in all honesty I'm just looking for 4 worse sides than us this season.

Think Swindon are going to have to bring a few new signings in if they're going to be in contention for promotion from league two next season.
