Fulton now sent off. Honestly, could see that coming an absolute mile off just a few minutes in, even before Grimes should have gone. They’ve been clumsy and gave away silly fouls all game.

Has to be game over now

Swansea had been having a decent spell of pressure for a while there, but that idiotic tackle from Fulton should put paid to that.

Terrible, clumsy tackle.

Bad news for the Yellow Bellies. Brentford will very likely finish comfortably above them, Sawnsea clearly wouldnt.

The challenge for Brentford will be to see if their recruitment can scale to the level required for Premier League survival, especially with new Brexit rules essentially closing off some of their favoured markets like French Ligue 2: it's easier to find cheap gems when below the Premier League than when you're in there, even before considering Brexit rules.

As for Swansea, I believe this was their last season of parachute payments, so they'll likely have to lose a few of their bigger names over the summer as they adjust. Would expect them to lose Ayew and Lowe at the very least, though there's no one in that team today that I'd want at Norwich next season to be honest.

EDIT: On that note, who will have parachute payments to work with next season? My best guess is:

Sheffield United: 3 years
Bournemouth, Fulham, WBA: 2 years
Huddersfield: 1 year

I believe this was the last season of parachute payments for Cardiff, Stoke and Swansea, and of course us and Watford went up with them at the first time of asking this year.

Wouldn’t you fancy Guehi? Quality young centre half imo

I'd forgotten about him actually, as today wasn't exactly one for Swansea to shine defensively. Only doubt I'd have is whether we'd want to pay what Swansea would probably want for him, as I'm not sure he'd be able to displace Gibson or Hanley as the main two.

If he was cheap, though, I'd much prefer him as a third choice to Zimmermann now (though Omobamidele may well force himself into the picture after his breakthrough in our final few games).

Congratulations Brentford, hopefully away fans are allowed again when we visit them next season.

I thought it semi interesting that Brentford only had 1 English player in the 11 tonight (That player being Toney, Pinnock is technically but plays for Jamaica, Fosu plays for Ghana).

If they don’t go up it’s going to be interesting to see how they go about changing the transfer approach. Most of the players they’ve signed wouldn’t pass through the new rules post Brexit.

Just on this, the guy who was in charge of the Data and Analytics around scouting at Brentford when they started this approach, Ted Knutson - has said that because of the Brexit rules its probably not possible anymore to do what they did i.e. looking at some of the undervalued leagues in Europe and taking players from there, so the window to replicate the "Brentford model" likely closed now.

Going to be interesting to see how those changes impact the game in this country.

Hope Blackpool match their last points tally at this level.

How so?

Last season was as shit as it's been for us since Graham Westley and we breezed to mid-table.
You literally sit season after season waiting to be relegated for something to do.

Your manager is underwhelming no? Accounts don't look pretty? Squad looks extremely average for this level.

If you say so, as I say, you'll come quickly down to Earth when you realised how shit your squad is for this level.

We don't wait for anything, we compete at a level you are clearly out of touch with.

Accounts are fine thanks, hence why we've just bought a new training ground, spent over a million in improvements on it and another £3m on a couple of players.
