Dunno lol. Can only think Sheff United and Wigan's will definitely be bigger, we'll probably be on a par with Millwall and possibly Donny as well.
Surely yours (and ours) will be significantly more than Doncasters? Both teams will average 50% higher attendances and will have far more commercial revenues? Thought Donny weren't bank rolled by their chairman to the same extent anymore.

I thought Donny had their budget cut too. My housemate is a good friend of Reece Wabara's and Donny allegedly told him to take a pay cut from his £4000 a week wages or leave. Maybe accepting life in the top half of League One now at best.

I think ours was about 1.6 Million, but we also made a few signings from January onwards (Mellis, Gerrard etc) so I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being higher.

Our, soon to be departing, CEO has confirmed Micky Mellon has the 9th highest budget in League 1 this season.

Well he hasn't spent it very well! Is that a carry over from League 2, keeping your better players with promotion packages in their contracts last season? I bet Gerrard wasn't cheap for what he brings at his age. Does this pile the pressure on even more given your recent poor performances?

Our budget is apparently in the top six of the division, commercially we have very good revenue streams from Club Doncaster which will be receiving a significant boost this month.

There were expensive promotion clauses resulting in wage rises for those players with us last season.

Gerrard has been playing for nothing.

Your point about how Mellon has used the budget is a good one, i.e. he has used it very badly. It's just a shame Graham Turner wasn't given the same level of resources when we were previously in League 1.

If I had to guess the top 9 then:

Wigan
Sheffield United
Millwall
Bradford
Barnsley
Bury
Doncaster
Coventry
Chesterfield

Maybe Scunthorpe and Peterborough too but not sure who they would replace

Peterborough will deffo have a bigger budget than us. We have 2-3 players that are probably on big money.

That's absolutely crazy. If I remember rightly, your budget in 2013-14 was the 16th highest in the division! Can't believe you've actually backed Mellon that significantly when you never backed Turner as you've previously said. Maybe it's true that Matt Tootle's on £2000 a week after all...

Ours is allegedly bottom 5 in the league.

Which is clearly bollocks. We'll be somewhere in the middle I'd imagine, we aren't doing too badly.
