Whats the 'PP' stand for?
I think it stands for Princeps Pacis latin for Prince of Peace it's a religious thing that's been in the town seal for centuries because Preston means priest town, tho I know some people say it stands for Proud Preston

Yeah so did I for a long time until I got given a book about the club's history, at this point tho it might as well stand for Proud Preston cos thats what everyone thinks it stands for and theres not many people who really give a toss about the religious stuff

A lot of our fans don't like it to be fair, it gone down a bit like marmite. I like it personally but would still rather us have an all black away kit, I think replace all the blue with black and it could look classy.

Wolves kit is alright, badge doesn't go with it though so that ruins it. Preston's kit is classy again.

"From 1933 the team wore the Preston coat of arms on their shirts. This consisted of the sacrificial lamb (representing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ) holding a flag of victory (representing the resurrection as victory over death) over the letters "PP," an abbreviation of Princeps Pacis (Latin for Prince of Peace). According to Dave Melling the media reinterpreted the initials as "Proud Preston" when the team met West Ham in the 1964 FA Cup final and this verion has since stuck."

From that website that Walkley posted earlier in the thread.
