Shame about Anderson then . Would've definitely preferred him to ronchi . Not loving myburgh opening up either tbh
No Ronchi means playing Alex Barrow or Michael Bates, not good enough to bat in our top 6 so could be worse tbh, shouldn't have signed Rehman imo, Dockrell is good enough for T20 and list A yet is out on loan. We needed a seam bowler (Southee/Boult both over in England like Ronchi/Anderson) and as our second player we needed a batsmen, Kieswetter/Compton leaving.

Alfonso Thomas needs dropping asap, an economy rate of over 10 and bowls himself 4 overs every game. Craig Overton fit? If he is drop Thomas, play Overton and hand the captaincy to Hildreth.

I agree with you about thomas , been a top one day player but is playing off reputation at the moment . I know it's asking a lot but can't banger come back and play a bit of 20/20 ( with the gloves on ) solves two problems :bg: your right about dockrell , it's madness that he's at Sussex when rehman ( great bowler that he was ) is clearly well past his best . I'm not sure the club have got recruitment quite right this season apart from cooper , who I'm sure will come good .

Cooper has time to come good as well given that he's playing as a kolpak, his Italian passport or whatever it is, that's a good piece of business. Tres doesn't have the skills to be a T20 keeper in fairness, half the game can be the ability to stand up to seamers etc, something I don't think he's good enough to do. Bates would be the best option in that regard, fantastic with the gloves. When looking at the batting list I did think we were a batsman light though I admit. Wonder how Abell would do in T20, have him open with Allenby move everyone down 1, take out Thomas and bowl Trego.

Since we've got ronchi I'd open with him , he does the job for his side in New Zealand to good effect . I really don't think I want abell playing 20/20 at the moment . Yeah and bowl trego !!!

If it had been anyone other then Aus I'd have gotten someone from the second tour team over to start with then replace them with someone from the first touring team, but as I said its Aus so fuck 'em

Are you getting another overseas signing ? I can't keep track of everybody's 20/20 signings . We've swapped gayle for ronchi :conf:

No idea, Toby probably has someone lined up. Problem is the CPL is going on too so some of the names we'd be looking at are already taken.

44 balls as well!

Gloucestershire have Somerset on the ropes as well, gutted I couldn't go to that.

Gloucestershire beaten Somerset with 4 balls left, great stuff.

Bairstow has just found the top tier with one in this game and cracked the ball into the shatter-proof glass on the media centre
