Good performance in a 4-1 win over a poor Stalybridge side. Two more for Liam Hardy, with Josh Gillies celebrating his new contract with a goal, and one from M.O.M. Steven Thompson. So much better when we use our wingers rather than just diagonals to Beck all game. That has it's place in our game, but we have the players to be more expansive as well. Sending off for each team, Stalybridge very lucky not to have had another for an awful challenge through the back of Tom Portas which saw him substitued. No game for a fortnight now, which will hopefully see Burgess, Brown, Hunter and Turnbull available again.

May seem a stupid question but are you guys back playing in Darlington yet?

Good to see Simmons getting another couple of goals for Halifax.

Yeah he's been great so far, scoring lots and assisting. Looks a good signing by Heath and a good player for you in the future. How's Muldoon getting on for you this season?

Relatively easy victory over Gloucester yesterday. Two injuries for them in the opening 20mins would have knocked their flow for sure. Still to see us put a full 90mins performance together with a very strong first half followed by a hit and hope long spell second half.
One match down and another 6 against the rest of the top 8.

I was informed today it was 35k so not to far off. Dan had a very good debut today. Was obviously nervous at the start with a few heavy touches. But he got into the game more and took his goal very very well. Been impressing in training too. Looks like he will become a key part of our side. So all in all very happy with him so far, well as you can in one game.

To the game. We had a shocking first half and probably the most boring half of football I have seen and they got a good goal just before half time. 2nd half we were a different animal and played good football for the 3 goals. (Not our best but was good)

Down side with One centre half going off injured and the other getting a knock. So interesting to see how they turn out for stockport.

How will this work with a certain Mr Daniels? Goal scoring winger seems very familiar! What's he been like so far this season?

Ended up with a point after playing virtually the whole second half with ten, Carver sent off, even the Telford player involved in the incident couldn't believe the red card, apparently we will appeal, have a poor record at Telford so glad our defence stood firm again and we got the point. Still up there in the reckoning, some interesting games coming up, looking forward to the FA Cup test at Spennymoor next Saturday.

Referee was very poor, yellow at worst, didn't give us any decisions. I'm more worried about walker limping off with an ice bag on his knee

He's not really. Picked up a foot injury and has only made 3 appearances I think and his first start of the season was yesterday.

Well hes started training again so hopefully return soon as hes been injured since pre season. I would imagine he will join Rowe and Bradley in the forward 3. Daniels and Bradley taking the wider positions hopefully chipping in with the goals with Rowe.

I wouldnt say the guys that had been playing either side of rowe were really wingers/forwards. Were more really attacking mid. So I feel we will benefit alot more with Bradley and when Daniels returns.

You never know he may be back in time for our trip Harrogate

No we're still at Bishop Auckland.

Work has now started on bringing Blackwell Meadows up to standard, and I think we're hoping to be back in there by the turn of the year.

I don't really get Law but he seemingly does nothing with his defence. I dread to think how many goals they've conceded and how few clean sheets they've had over the last 5 or 6 seasons.

Unbeliable too from someone who was a centre back in his playing career.

Had a quick look and done some quick maths. Since our promotion to the Conference Premier we have conceded 413 goals in 238 games. (Excluding Cups)

Narrow win at Alty oin a game which could have gone either way. We hit a post and had a few efforts wide in the first half, they had a few balls fly across the face of goal and our keeper made 2 or 3 decent saves in the 2nd half. We offered little 2nd half but took our only move of real quality and managed to see it out without any real howlers or dramas. Up to 12th now but the work starts now catching up the top 10 (6pts clear of us) and the seemingly tougher fixtures kick in (Fylde, Halifax, Salford perhaps and Brackley all in our next 7 games)

Saying that, we'll end up losing to Worcester next week!!! Our current little run makes; losing at home to Stalybridge AND FC United all the more galling, as we'd be on a respectable 20pts off 12 games now and in place to kick on towards the top 5 despite taking a while again to get going

We're having a bit of a mare with injuries now.

Ethan Moore was meant to be our main forward this season, got injured in training prior to the season and will miss the entire season.
Chris Knowles got injured against Nuneaton last week. He'd scored 3 in 3 from midfield prior to that. Out for over 2 months now.
Leroy Odiero got injured in the 3rd game of the season, only returned this weekend.
His replacement for those earlier games was Lewis Hall who was one of the players who limped off at Harrogate. Dunno how bad it is but he was on crutches.
Luke Hopper also went off, don't think it's too bad. Hope not anyway given he's our top goalscorer!

With a very small budget it's amazing that we are still in the hunt for the play offs but we really need some better luck on the injury front.

Think we still have 4 or 5 out (most long term too), but at least now we've been able to field a similar side for a few games and have got results to pull us safe for now

No, we've been at Bishop Auckland throughout our journey back. Blackwell Meadows is Darlington Rugby Clubs ground. We are sharing with them, hopefully around Christmas. Work currently ongoing to bring it up to standard. Might see you there.

Rearranged match against cash splashers AFC Fylde of Kirkham and Wesham tonight after the original game fell victim to the tropical storm we had a couple of weeks ago!

If we concede less than 3 i'll be impressed. A Danny Rowe hat trick is inevitable.

First thing first please send our thoughts to Duxbury. Didnt see the incident and hope he is ok. Some stockport fans were saying he got an elbow from one of our players. Our photographer has a few pictures of the incident and it didnt show an elbow. Politics/arguments aside, more importantly I hope he is ok as he was down for 10mins and was taken off.

Also to clear up from a few things on social media, we was not cheering a player being seriously injured and never would. Any cheers you may have heard during the break was one of your water boys playing around and got our attention.

To the game, we were shocking. Got the first goal on the counter. Stockport were all over us. We get a free kick in the 98th min and Rowe puts it away. Stole a win has to be said. Our keeper made a few important saves and we survived 60mins+ of pressure. The atmosphere at EP was amazing and stockport fans deserve every credit.

Frustrating night. We were the better side and we lost. In fact, that was probably our best performance this season. Fylde looked the complete antithesis of the excellent footballing side they were when they battered us 4-0 last season. Every time Danny Lloyd got the ball there was someone looking to go straight through him.

I must say I thought the Duxbury incident looked like a clash of heads rather than an elbow. However, your goalkeeper going around high-fiving his teammates whilst a player is down on the floor for 10 minutes with a serious head injury is ill-advised. I'm absolutely sure it had nothing to do with the injury, but it doesn't look good. The sound of cheers coming from the away end was also pretty bizarre, so glad to hear there was some sort of explanation from it.

Btw, how comes you were singing "Thats why you're here" at Lloyd? Is there bad blood there? I thought he had a good record at Fylde and only left because you went full-time, nor do I recall him badmouthing the club, so couldn't understand why your fans would get on his back.

We never had a problem with him until tonight. We felt he went down a little to easy on occasion (not all) when giving him a few songs as you do as its a former player he made a reaction to us at the away end which noone appreciated.

Just a difference of two players when Ben "Hinchy" went to see what happened when your player was down he spoke to us and said what he knew and was quite nice to us again former player. Just didnt expect how Lloyd came across.

The ball boys were playing a game with their water bottles and every time they were successful we cheered. They were bored and when we saw it and cheered obviously he played along. Only stopped because a fan told him off for his interaction with us.

The Messiah Gannon is working well ... isn't he? I think NY's record at this stage was better and you lot drove him out. Are you after Gannon's arse yet?

Neil Young left at the beginning of January after winning one game in 12 and using nearly 40 players in the process.
