Absolutely massive game at the Impact tomorrow v Stalybridge Celtic. Huge 3 points on offer, pivotal game for Russ as manager as its a real opportunity for him to get his first win and get that monkey off his back. If not then unfortunately decisions may have to be made.

Huge game for Stalybridge too. Defeat and we effectively puts the final nail in their coffin I think.

Think its going to be a good old fashioned relegation scrap. Must win and no time for tactical naivety for Russ with Steve Burr in the opposite dug out.

Well i was expecting no football today as the rain was very heavy yesterday, but pitch inspection this mornign has passed so looking like game on as it will be dry all day.

home to Brackley and our season task was for me achieved last week so we can now just have a good go at as high a finish as possible. tough game today as Brackley have finally found some form after a big slump, but should be a good game as they have to come and attack, a draw does nothing for them.

we were excellent last couple of games, so hopefully another win.

Our game is off. Our pitch is really struggling with the demand of First team fixtures along with Academy Games and Forest Under 23 commitments. Yet another game for Stalybridge to fit in. Looks like a few Tuesday-Thursday week for them.

Major doubts our game with them will be on on Tuesday as well. Surely it will come to a point where it will get to a Gateshead situation and they'll have to use other teams pitches.

Cannot be far off. Our pitch looks fucked too. We may have to borrow Chesterfields ground if the weather doesnt improve.

Fyldes title I think if they get a win. Both Salford and kiddy losing.

0-0 at Curzon.........been an open game, but next to no chances. Be interesting 2nd half as surely Brackley have to win this one......currently they seem happy with 0-0

Very decent set of results for us today.

Cant help but think despite Worcester`s problems its looking very bleak indeed for Gainsborough with their fixtures.

Great performance by town undone by some poor defending and by am awful performance by the ref.

Second game against fylde I have seen this season and they were not that great given where they are in the league. Darlo at ours, halifax 2008, harriers all looked noticeably better but they are home and done now looking at the league. Brendon play off match chucking f$ck Daniels was shite so every cloud......
Simon Ainge continues his remarkable goal scoring record since his switch to centre back.

Not well enough to go today but delighted with our point at Stockport, sounded like we weathered everything they threw at us, had to take a few cards though, still Charnock out suspended but Scott Leather back next week so we march onward, next up Telford at home.

Sounded a really tedious game today, with a suitable scruffy goal deciding the outcome.

It's sad to think that Telford and Altrincham were the two teams promoted from this league not 3 years ago, now both flapping around in the sludge at the bottom. At least Telford should survive, however.

Love to hear the thoughts of any Boston fan who was at the game yesterday (were there any Boston fans at the game) on how they think a team as shite as ours has got itself into a play off spot. I know people don't like it when I say this, but it can only be because everybody else is even more shite. This is the worst Conference North division in living memory. I'll laugh my socks off if we get out of it with this team. :fl::fl::fl:

HG - I'm yet to see Daniels have a decent game for us. He doesn't lack effort but he's been poor since he came back from his injury. Strange day all round yesterday. Still, an extra point gained on our playoff rivals.

Is a tricky one for him and to Fylde given his 3 year contract. He is a winger that scores great goals but ain't that good at crossing and taking his man on. Great at set pieces but unless you are playing an out and out 3 up top and he is out wide he will not easily adapt to any other formations.
Was gutted not so much that he went, a 3 year deal at this level is a no brainer but the manner of his performance in the first leg of the playoffs when he clearly knew who he would be playing for the next season was a disgrace and undid all the many moments of magic that season.

Yeah the ref for us was highly questionable but sums up our season. Good enough squad and performances in spells but lacking the consistency and in game management to see out games.

Given the inability of any of the pack to meaningfully challenge I think it is a done deal on going up.

Good point at Stockport. Ref was poor for both sides, missed their number 6 and 5 pulling our strikers every time the ball went to them, ref bottled a couple of cards for us but gave a stupid amount of cards for a game where there weren't any bad tackles.

They were the dirtiest team I had seen until fylde

You're correct we are definitely dirtier this season and I'm so glad that's the case. We've been too soft the past 2 seasons and it's been our undoing at times. When you come up against the more physical sides in Chorley and Salford you have to fight fire with fire and we've done that this season. Still plenty of points up for grabs but with the chasing pack struggling to win must win games it's looking more and more likely that we'll be 1 division away from the football league

I don't see how Salford are a physical side. In both of our games they lost the plot as soon as we started getting in their faces and running at them.
