Southport confirmed their admittance to this thread today after defeat to Dover. Sad to see but its been on the cards for a while and the sacking of Burr was an atrocious decision.

Well Trinity have put the pressure on us for tomorrow.
If Darlington would be so kind to donate us 3 points tomorrow it would be much appreciated now they have nothing to play for?

Poor and costly defeat for Salford though.
Can see Gainsborough getting something from both Brackley and FCUM too.

Not sure what Darlo team will turn up tomorrow tbh DSL. We could already be on holiday which would be completely understandable. Or, more likely in my opinion, we'll turn up angry and ready to give someone a pasting. Marain Gray isn't the type to take anything laying down. If we do win we'd be up to 4th. Not that it matters atm.

In any case I'll be there. London exile but visiting some uni friends in Nottingham for the weekend. Used to split my weekends in Notts watching Alfreton, Mansfield, County and Lincoln so will be nice to go back to the impact arena (if it's still called that?). Will it be segregated at all DSL?

Nice one mate. I hope you enjoy your day but not the result.;)

Yes its still the Impact Arena. And yes it will be segregated. Entrance for away fans is by the Alma street turnstiles.

Sounds a terrible game from the commentary. Our commentator has been quite scathing about Curzon's number 8 and our Clayton McDonald
Clayton played against us last year and was amusingly shite, is he still 2 stone overweight?

I've not seen him since December, but according to our commentary he has lost some weight while out on loan at Droylsden. The commentator was surprised at how poor he was, considering he'll have been trained at much higher levels etc.

With Stockport drawing, we've basically confirmed our place in the playoffs.

Absolutely embarrassed by Darlington who we never laid a glove on. Should have been 6. Wouldnt be surprised if we dont score another goal this season. We are dreadful.

Got to agree with you DSL. We should have put another few away. Not sure how a couple running across the 6 yard box didn't go in.

Very proud of Darlo today. Would have been easy to roll over after what has happened to us. But the whole team approached everything very professionally. Solid across the back never really gave Alfreton a sniff.

On to FC united on Monday. Hopefully a big crowd and another quakers win.

Hard work wasn't it! You got there in the end. Happy we're not soft at the back anymore but need to buy quality over the summer up front if we want to challenge

A game of two strong defences and you had one lapse in concentration. Was I right in reading that was the first goal you conceded in over 400+ minutes? Impressive if so.

Stalybridge were architects for their own downfall yesterday. It as a very even game, a crap first half to be honest but Celtic started to threaten more. As they were on the attack with us outnumbered one of their defenders decided to have a pop at Luke Hopper on the sly but the linesman noticed it and flagged straight away. Ref stopped the game and after consulting him sent the guy off. Whilst they eventually got an equaliser we scored again pretty much straight away and saw the game out. I think had they had eleven on the pitch they could have nicked three points again. Good win for us anyway but we've now lost Luke Thomas (returned to Derby) and the lad on loan from FGR looks very poor so far.

B2TF, just wanted to pass on that the staff at Bettys are particularly looking forward to welcoming you and the boys tomorrow for your champers and angel cake brunch special.
You will also have the added bonus of a 3 point gift courtesy of our HTFC management team. You think you got it bad.......

Yeah 408 mins or something like that. You could've got a cricket score at our place so to limit you to two note worthy efforts all game was a big improvement

Well i hope for your sakes that the decision to make it all ticket for away fans only doesn't backfire. You've basically given free license for any of small band of pondlife that attach themsleves to our club without tickets to have a rumpus in your home ends.

:bravo:

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Firstly i'd keep eye out on net if a Chorley fan...twas alot of rain yesterday in Stalybridge, although has been dry all week before it so that may mean its fine.

secondly am late, but cannot begrudge Altrincham their last gasp win after season they have had. better second half after awful first, but we didn't grab lead from a 15 minute spell when we created numerous chances and really they played better than us overall in the game....we have been dreadful since Chorley and clearly our side has decided season is over.

Lastly my 4th away game of season and local derby at Salford, big big big game for them, but its 2 sides in pretty poor form, they have hit poor form at the wrong time and are just fortunate others are feeling pressure and Darlo cannot have a top 5 place because their form suggests they would miss out. I am hoping this week and next week vs halifax we get motivated by the occasion as we are clearly not motivated anymore by the season and just going through the motions. I expect playing away with a bigger crowd and game with things riding on it may bring some better effort....would not at all surprise me to see Curzon lose to alty on friday then beat Salford today......we just like an underdog role.

Welll your chance of Adam Morgan popping u with a goal are slim as he is preffered as a bench warmer at the moment because he is not 6ft+.

0-0 at Salford. Its an ok ground, but everything is totally unfinished so surprised Salford given free light and darlo didn't.

Even game........exceptionally home bias ref. They are better in control of ball, but lacking a lot about the box.

Like to wish everyone in the play offs luck. So thankful we made it across the line as I honestly thought Kiddi would catch us.
Also heard yesterday Steve Williams is going to Southport
