Highlights are up. Also proves that the 'clear head injury' wasn't a head injury so it was reasonable for the referee not to stop play instantly.

Nonetheless, never nice seeing a player injured badly.

Yeah if you improve your defence you should be good but can you afford to?
I read somewhere that three of their first choice back four were out on Saturday - not sure if that was correct or if it was the same again tonight.

10 goals conceded in 2 games and next up us who have scored 7 so far and absolutely crushed Gainsborough. Could well be a similar score Saturday!

What bookies take correct score bets on conference north games?... I think I need to put a quid on 0-0 or 1-0 Curzon

Why on earth is everywhere saying Bradford 4-3 Curzon.........it was 100% 4-4 so ignore all the websites.

From looking at team sheets they did only had Jonathan Hunt in from last years defence against Kiddy, missing Simon Woodford, Connor Hampson and Daniel Shaw.

not sure if that is injury or new players, its not easy when you dont know these people really. From what i seen at end of season Daniel Shaw impressed me each game and he hasn't been in yet, maybe injured.

at present Curzon will be strugglers as they look likely to concede 80 goals plus at this rate, but if they have one positive it is that this problem is well obvious and very early in season, usually means it can be worked on now than pops up later in season unexpected.

but that was still an enormous boost for the season last night, at 2-0 down it could easily have been another 4 or 5-0 defeat and being thumped 2-3 times on the bounce murders confidence, a morale boosting dogfight comeback was exactly what was needed after saturday. Agree with Jemfy, usually in football when a team who cannot stop conceeding meets a team who cannot stop scoring sneak a bet on a 0-0.

The feller wasn't moving. It's one thing to play on 'cos the guy's rolling around in an attention-grabbing way, it's another when they lay there still.

It's funny watching how Celtic defend, though. Pretty much every County attack the defenders are absolutely molesting the forwards. Look at the first goal, the guy tries to push over Marsden then puts his arm right round him; for the second you can see another one pushing, pulling and grabbing the shirt. If they were in the Prem they'd give away six penalties a game.

Tonight we take on FC United of Manchester away at Broadhurst Park. Last season we came from 1 down to win 2-1 in their first competitive fixture at the stadium.

Looking forward to the game, and i'm hopeful that we will be able to make it 3 wins from 3.

We've got Gainsborough tomorrow, given their shocking display at Alfreton we should be confident but our record against them is abysmal.

not only did they FINALLY last 15 mins without being 2 or more goals down, but they have taken lead. 2 good things for confidence.

Superb away win, great week in the end i think i'd taken 4 points from them first 3 games.

Me thinks darksithLord cursed that when remarking on a high scoring team playing a side conceeding lots.......bizarre how football usually makes that the game the free scoring side cannot score in.

2 home games now to really push on next week.

What the hell happened at Halifax? 3 men sent off in that game.

And 0-0 much better performance from us along with one of the worst refs I've ever seen.

Firstly books us for stopping a counter, fair enough it's a yellow but they did the same thing 5 minutes before and got nothing. Then somebody lunges and stamps Carter above the ankle we're all expecting a red to be shown but the ref doesn't even deem it a yellow we then get a booking a minute later for a shirt pull. Later on in the game Chorley get a pen god knows what for all I saw was Keith Lowe was pulled to the ground but thankfully Hornby got 2 solid hands to it this time to save it.

We looked better just lacking that final ball think we need to change to 2 up top.

Also noticed there's been a lot of draws so far. Shows how close the league is.

Beat a really dirty Gainsborough 4-1. They resorted to kicking lumps out of us and two of our players had to be carried off the pitch. No protection from the ref who sent one of ours off for a clumsy handball in a nothing position whilst yellow carding a high foot with studs showing that resulted in one of ours being carted off. Despite the scoreline Trinity weren't awful, although Nathan Jarman's penalty certainly was. We were just very clinical infront of goal. Onto Worcester on Tuesday and given their results and that they had two sent off today, very confident of another three points.

Alfreton 0-1 Curzon (Hampson 15)

Just was not our day at all. Hit the woodwork on 3 separate occasions. Once from a Westcarr header which I still dont know how it didnt go in, Bradley smacked the post with a stunner from 30 yards and Sam Smith hit the base of the post with the very last kick of the game. Which summed us up. A lapse at the back cost us and we were too quick to run out of ideas. Liam Hearn came on to a heros reception and was denied a goal on his return by a good save from Curzon.

Things played in to Curzon`s hands today. We were unlucky early doors which knocked our confidence, their time wasting tactics worked a treat as the ref was very weak.

On to Tuesday tricky looking trip to Brackley who look a much better side this year.

Competed well at Darlington for 43 minutes then as per gave away a pen from a set piece which we lost, then capitulated embarrassingly. 4 down by the hour mark through comical defending and failure to put a head on anything which came into the box. Rollins scored once we went down to 10 men (all subs used- injury).
Tuesday will be fun.....

Coming from behind to draw at one of the favourites for the title a week after getting a draw at our gaff (which would possibly have been a win had bad gamesmanship not backfired on you) and you are still not upbeat?

Cliff Moyo went in with two feet when he really didn't need to. It wasn't an aggressive game at that point and was more an ill judged tackle than a malicious one. Definite red though. Keane was getting run ragged by Josh Macdonald all game (won't be the first full back to suffer that) and hacked him down when running clear. Then caught Jake Hibbs late on when he should have already been subbed (if Worcester management had any sense). Well the last one was Lee Hughes! does it need any comment? The guy is an utter tool and had already got away with one sly elbow in the ribs to Danny Hone before he raised his arms again and got caught. Really wasn't a dirty game.

Worcester were poor with the man advantage for nearly an hour. Currently top but travel to third placed Stuckport on Tuesday and host 2nd placed Tamworth on Saturday. Tough week.

Think it was a very even game for 40 mins. Then you gave away a daft penalty well dispatched by Terry Galbraith. Then for the final few minutes of the half.you could tell your heads had dropped. We started winning the majority of the 50/50's and moving the ball from side to side quicker.

Second half was much the same as the last few mins of the first. We were moving the ball faster and you CB's werw unable to deal with the ball in behind. Showed by the second goal which landed on top of your CB's head and landed at the feet of Hardy to finish off. Then the third a fairly poor cross from the right wing by Phil Turnbull which your other CB managed to put into the top corner. And finally you switched off from a corner and allowed a 2 on 1 where we put a great ball into the box for Beck to flick home. All of the happened in 8 second half minutes.

Last 10 mins we stopped playing. Partly with an eye on Monday night when we play curzon Ashton. And we gave away a soft goal, your lads getting in behind on the break.

Not being funny Dave, but "Darlington 1883" is our enforced playing name that we had to choose from the time when the FA pretended that we went bust.

But we didn't go bust, we saved the club and completed our fixtures in that season and we always have been and always will be..."Darlington"

Although one could argue that we are named "Darlington 1883" whether we like it or not, and that posting "Darlington 1883" is technically correct - It would be appreciated if you could drop the "1883", like how you've dropped the "AFC" from Halifax and Telford, and the "County" after Stockport, the "Harriers" after Kidderminster, the "United" after Boston, and so on.

Cheers!

Whatever quality we have in our squad, it's in the players retained from last season, plus the ones signed from other than North Ferriby, Denton the exception. It's hard to see quite how Ferriby had the success they did if the ones brought in are the best they had. Scott McManus and Matty Brown will walk back into this team when they're fit again. Even then, we'll be a long way short of the side Neil Aspin put together to get us out of this league. Then again, they say you can hoof your way out of here. :ds:
